I think this will be handy.
You programing a record. And the system warns you . That you are running low on space. ----> no empty records anny more  .Got that last night

The video archive plug-in can monitor for low disk space. You set the threshold of what constiutes low disk space and it will displauy a warning in the video archive panel when you get there. IT will also show you in the video archiver's disk space graph when the estimated space needed by pending recordings exceeds the space available.

It would be helpful if I could connect this to a red police light I could put on the tv or on the ceiling above the tv. It wouldn't hurt if it could also produce an audio tone that could be send over a loudspeaker. Nothing fancy to start. Maybe just old air raid sound or all hands to battle stations from WWII ships would do fine. I will train my family to understand what that sound means, and what actions to take from there.

perhaps tell them that it is a early warning tornado system. When you here it go off run for the basement. It will make your family nights more interesting.

Is it the basement? I thought you were suppposed to get in a doorframe for low disk warnings...
Not a problem. I just got a new whistle and civil defense helmet. We can run some drills this weekend. I'll just simulate 2Gb remaining, and see how we do.

PVR-PowerTray for GBPVR (a replacement for the standand GBPVRTray app.) can monitor for low disk space (as well as failed recordings) and alert you via a simple-to-build LED monitor.

What I need is a low disk space email to my phone! Then I could remote in and delete old stuff instead of losing new shows!
