How do I search by subtitle in XRecord/Xsearch?

I did find a way around it...using XRecord, I can schedule a recording based on a subtitle match of a partial string. I have no idea if it works though.
I have a few series shows I record, and missing a few episodes. I don't need to record all the episodes, and hope I get the ones missing. If I could search by subtitle, I could then only schedule the episodes I'm missing.
I purposely downloaded and installed it, just for that feature Smile
Let me know when you get it fixed up please Jorm. TIA

If you are using the Schedule function, the sub title recording option should work. I use it to record a few specific episodes as well. Also have used just the general search on Title or Description to record a few programs as well. Works great for sporting events (I like catching MLS Soccer games, but they are always on various stations, so I just set up a title recording with MLS Soccer as the keywords, and no matter which channel it is in it'll pick it up.)

I'll have to do a test, and see if it actually records, based on a partial subtitle match.
It would be nice if I could search by those parameters though, so I don't end up recording a bunch of false matches Big Grin

the next release of xsearch will have a subtitle. It will show only the programs that match the subtitle you enter on the keyboard. The middle panel will show the shows name the time panel only the instance with the correct subtitle.

I just downloaded and installed the one you just posted.
I still don't see how to search by subtitle.
I can go into scheduler, and schedule something by partial subtitle, but have no idea if there's actually anything found to record.
How do I specifically search the EPG for a subtitle match?

I figured it out...had to use the cTRL+Y (on this box) to get to the mode, then it finds my subtitle search string, and lists the TV show(s) that have it.
This works great, for the current listing, as it should.
In combination with the scheduler to record any show, any channel, any time, based on a substring match, it should do exactly what I need for filling in the missing episodes!
