@sub: Hi, another day, another chance Smile

I noticed that the teletext pin of my WST Codec is called "Teletekst"... could this be the reason teletext doesn't work?

Regards,
Johan Duinkerken.

Yes, that will be the problem.

OK, what's going to be the easiest way to handle this? A uniform version of the WST codec? Or is it possible to query the WST codec to obtain the output pin names? Maybe the pins can be enumerated?

...this is getting exciting, the subtitle feature is quite important to the W.A.F. Wink

Strangely, I've got a swedish test machine, and uses the correct english names for these pins, and works without me having to change anything.

Your only chance in the near term future, is to find a way to force your WST Codec to use english naming. I'm not sure what you'll need to do get this though. I"m not sure if these names are in the component itself, or the registry or somewhere else.

Its still pretty experimental, so I wouldnt get too excited. I think you're the first person thats ever tried it.

Mm... is it much effort to mail me an altered gbpvr.exe, using "teletekst" as pin-name? Point is, it's quite difficult to get the proper language version of directx 9.0c. Another solution might be another version of WST Codec; I guess it's in the file "System32\DRIVERS\WSTCODEC.SYS"... In the meantime I'm trying to find/change the language settings for this particular codec; most other filters are in english. Hurrah for MS!

Unfortunately its not a good time. I'm in the middle of some quite big changes, so I dont have a working version GB-PVR I cant send you at the moment.

No problem. I'm still a bit baffled about the pin-names of WST Codec... I'm probably not the only one with "wrong" pin names, maybe it's something you can incorporate in the next (beta) version? Maybe a special registry key defining the pin names, or something like that? (might be best to put all pin names in registry. You can trust the MS-guys to do funny things with other pins as well; but then in Germany or France or...)

extra info: the language version of wstcodec is "english", so it seems that te pin-names get defined elsewhere...

turns out there were two registry keys named "name" with value "teletekst". Changed them to "teletext" and now teletext works...

Prepare for the next round! Big Grin

Hmm, then you are lucky. I checked my configuration and only found (three) teletext, not teletekst. So TT is still not working for me...
