Anyone know how to get the audio to be louder from computer?

Ive got the settings at the max in Sound Control, but I still have to have my TV volume SUPER loud as compared with normal cable.......

Are there easy cheap amplification solutions or any computer tricks anyone can offer?

I use ffdshow to boost the audio output 130%. It makes 1/3-1/2 the way up the volume be more than enough. There are probably other options w/o adding a post-processor.

does that ffdshow option affect playback or is it done after the fact?

post-processing...it means you need to let it handle the audio output. It may not work best for you, depending on your situation.
