First of all I want to thank Sub for a great program. It took a little effort, but now I have my PVR up and running. I had a lot of questions, but virtually all of the answers were found in the forum. Sytem specs are as folows:

amd 1800+
512 mb
hauppauge 150mce
Xcard
80 gig local drive
160 gig network drive

I have GB-PVR setup to use the local drive for live tv and the network drive for my recordings. I had a little trouble with the Xcard coming out of sleep and ended up using gbpvrwake.exe and devcon to restart the drivers upon waking.

I use an MX500 universal remote and Girder to control GB-PVR. I have almost all the commands setup to use the sendmessage plugin in Girder, but I am missing a few commands. Specifically I am looking for the wparameters for the following actions:

Catchup (Live TV) - currently I map the keyboard command "CTRL-O"
Chan+ (Live TV) - currently I map "page up"
Chan- (Live TV) - currently I map "page down"

It is not critical, but much nicer if I can use the sendmessage plugin, which I find to be more reliable than keyboard mapping.

I also have a question concerning the EPG and my recordings. I am not 100% clear on what actions clear the recording database. Is it whenever I run "config.exe" or only when I edit the EPG within "config.exe"? Several times I have managed to clear my recordings from GB-PVR (but not the files from the server) and I am not sure what I did. Do I need to backup a database file or can I use the import/export function in the config program?

Thanks again for a great piece of software,

There is a known bug in the current release which can cause the gbpvr.mdb database to be renamed old.mdb. Just rename it back if this happens. It corrected in the next release.

GBPVR clears the recording reference when it starts and cannot find the files. This may be because your recordings are on the network. Windows XP sometimes does not fully open the drives on startup so when GBPVR asks for it, it receives the answer that the drive is not there.

I haven't tried a workaround that I thought of, which was to place a batch file on the network drive to start GBPVR.exe. And place the shortcut to that batch file. Hope this helps.

GOOD IDEA! I love simple solutions! (I'm always making batch files at work, it pisses off the new guys. "DOS, what do you need that for?")
3x MVPs (not used anymore)
XBMC
Hauppauge 150 via SVideo
Comcast Digital Cable
Motorola HD Cable box channel changed via Firewire
Vista Home Premium with RDP hack
AMD Athalon 64 5000+
340gig sata, plus 80SATA+3x160IDE Drives in XP machine for storage.

gbpvr.mdb is still correctly named, so it is a good possibility that it is a network drive issue. When the computer wakes, XP always shows the network cable as unplugged. I'll give it a try and let you know how it works.

I ended up creating a .bat file on my network drive and call it with Girder when I start GBPVR. So far everything is working without any problem.

Thanks for the help,
