Automate Thumbnails in My Pictures

Is it possible to generate Thumbnails for "My Pictures" from a batchfile? Syntax?

go to the config app, then the my pictures settings, and theres a "scan" button on one of the tabs, that will search all the directories listed in the virtual root (and there subdirs) for photos and generate thumbnails for them.

But if I want to do that from a bat file instead, is it possible? Then I could put it in the background at low priority
