Alot of humm through speakers

Hi All,

I get alot of humm through the speakers as soon as I hook up the digital cable box to the hauppage pvr-150 line-in.

Any ideas? :eek:

Hhhm, one question: Is the Cable Box together with the PVR-150 in the same power-circle? If yes, then try for one of this components another Power-Plugin.

Yes - its in a different power source.
I'm thinking its a problem with the line-in on the hauppage card?

could try a ground loop isolator...if your pc is connected to the tv directly it can humm unless you have one of these. Can pick them up at radio shack for 15 bucks I think

That's what you need - I had the same problem, and it worked beautifully for it.
