I find even if you take no joy in them (like myself...increasingly more every year), I like to at least debauch a little and get a six of Guinness and a steak and cheese calzone or something deep fried for dinner.

I figure if you make it another year, it's a good time to pause and spit in death's eye for a day.

Thanks everybody for the good wishes. I am now 29.

I spent my birthday and probably the rest of the week packing up my house (I am closing on it on Tuesday). So dont expect updates till next week.
