Hi Sub,

Im experiencing 2 issues which appears to be specific to gbpvr itself.

1) The Tuning assistant displays the frequency of the previous channel (not the currently displayed channel). This is very misleading if you try entering the displayed frequency into the gbpvr recording source setup because it is the wrong frequency and does not work. This therefore appears to be a bug.

2) When you do enter the correct frequency into the gbpvr recording source, the NICAM sound is distorted and appears to be not centered on the NICAM carrier frequency. This issue is could be specific to PAL-B/G which requires a NICAM carrier frequency offset of 5.850MHz. If you enter the channel frequency directly into the registry and tell gbpvr to use that channel number then NICAM works correctly. This leads me to believe that gbpvr has a bug when entering the frequency directly in the recording source.

I'll check this.

I have no way to specify the sound's carrier frequency when directly specifying a channel frequency. It must be some assumption the drivers are making about the sound system. What type of card do you have? I'm guessing you'll just have to stick to editing the registry if thats what works for you.

Thanks Sub,

I'm using the TUL/PowerColor Theater 550 Pro
and ATI driver 6.14.10.102 (issues also existed in earlier driver versions)

The lack of NICAM when directly tuning to a frequency is probably just a bug in the ATI drivers.

I've fixed the frequency displayed by the tuning assistant.
