PVR-150 MCE Remote Problem

Hi,

I just got gbpvr and so far so good. Can view tv, and i'm going to test the recording in a bit. I have been unable to get the remote working though. Could someone walk me through a checklist of how to get it to work with gbpvr? I've tried setting gbpvr to both happauge and mce remotes. But nothing works. Did a search but I didn't find anything very specific.

Do you have an MCE2005 remote? I cant quite tell from the title - could be PVR150MCE plus some other remote. If so, have you installed the drivers and can you confirm the remote is functioning (ie, in another app maybe)?

The pvr-150 came with a mce remote. It has the windows button and everything. I assume I have the drivers installed. I don't have any unrecognized items in my device list. I have not confirmed the remote has worked another app. Which app should i try?

Try it with Windows Media Player.

Not sure what you mean by windows media player. Can't get it to work. I mean the driver looks installed, but is there a way to test the basic functionality. Is there a control panel?

With my MCE remote, if I play a MP3 file in Windows Media Player then I can press "pause" to pause playback, "play" to resume etc. I'd assume yours should do the same since this isnt GB-PVR specific.

Another example: Bring up the Windows volume control window. You should be able to change the system volume using your remote.

Yeah it does not seem to do anything in wmp.

how many pvr cards do you have in place? Does the pvr work correctly otherwise, both live (you already said this) and recorded modes?

Just one. The 150. The pvr works fine otherwise. I just use the keyboard.
