Hello Whurlston, sorry to bother you, but I am dying for an update here. I miss watch now so much it is painful, any news?

Thanks!
No idea if whurlston will be able to provide any updates; he seems a lot less active in the forums these days. I hope he is well, and just busy with Real Life for positive reasons.

In the meantime I use Zinc (http://http://www.zeevee.com/zinc) with good success. Just set it up in GB-PVR config as an External Task.
Last couple of months have been rough for me but it's coming. I ran into a lot of issues with the old code and decided to scrap most of the backend. I'm rewriting the plugin to use an sqlite database instead of an xml file and there will be a command line utility to update the database directly from Netflix. Anyone will be able to perform the update (up to 20 times daily due to a Netflix limitation). It can take up to an hour or two to run but then the updated database can be uploaded to the plugin's hosting server so that everyone else can update in seconds/minutes.

I am going to be looking into the latest issue with the HDHomeRun as well but the new Netflix plugin is my number one priority.

Believe it or not, Zinc just bluescreens my machine, I tried Boxee, which I really like, but wouldn't you know it their Netflix support just broke! Also, it seems that it is impossible to set up a custom task if you are using VMR9 fullscreen exclusive, which is absolutely the only way I get good performance out of PVRX2, otherwise the tearing is unacceptable. Anyway, I prefer the solution within PVRX2 anyway, so will wait patiently for the Netflix plug in, unless you have any solution to any of the above?

(Thanks for the suggestion anyway!)
the netflix plugin is way better than zinc.
with the plugin, I can download at the highest bitrate and watch it later.
zinc simply plays the movies by a stream which isn't controllable by bitrate.
but, I goofed and installed silverlight and now the plugin can't find the download stream. Sad
My wife is out of town for a few days so I was planning on a blitz programming session. I was however hampered by having to do an emergency rebuild of a client's server. I should be done with that by tomorrow then I'll be the mad programmer that doesn't leave the keyboard. Big Grin
Whurlston, I too would love the Netflix plugin. I'm a C++/C# developer if there's anything I can help with.

Great! I am so excited, it is almost pathetic how often I check back when I see something like that, there is so much worthwhile on watch now currently it seems, Dexter, and a thousand other shows I much watch. All of the other ways to get Netflix are just really cludgy hacks it seems compared to how the plugin worked.
I guess MVP support is still not on the horizon for the Netflix plugin for watching Watch Now videos?

I missed this post earlier. Unfortunately, until the MVP supports DRMed wmv files or a SilverLight player, no. My hands are pretty much tied on that one.
