I've been trying to install the latest version of NVPR.
During installation a window appears headed NRecord.exe
The window has nothing written in it for a while then
'Process terminated due to StackOverflowException' appears in
the window. Next a window appears informing me that needs to shut down
NRecord. The rest of the installation carries on. I can get the EPG but no live TV.
The tray icon doesn't even appear down by the clock.
I have looked at the log straight after the install but there is nothing in that folder.
What have I done wrong please,
Thank you
Hank
I'm currently using the WebRadio I downloaded and installed on 7/11/13. I know there is a newer version but since this one has been working great and I have no desire for video with the music, I haven't updated. My question is caused by the fact I have to update the address of my favorite station (KUSC) and I can't find where to do it. I know I've worked on it before because I put in the ten stations I use and have adjusted them previously. I've looked in the usual places but haven't found what I need. Will someone point me in the right direction, please?
I started a post here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ince-3-3-8 since changing to 3.3.8, I've been getting DB locks. There is a NPVR log file attached to this msg, NPVR.log.2 is the first instance of it happening.
I think have the latest file from the WIKI page.
I've disabled TV Listings, and so far I haven't gotten any more DB locks on EPG update.
It would happen right when it switches from saving EPG files to updating recordings.
I'm sure this is a stupid question, but with GBPVR, during playback of a recording, I used to be able to hover over the bottom of the computer screen with the pointer and a timeline would pop up allowing me to select any point in the file for viewing. The timeline still pops up but seems to have no functionality with regard to changing the playback position.
Is this functionality no longer supported in NPVR?
I have a basic IPTV package from my cable company. With two tuner/dvr boxes. There is no RF cable. Instead they have an ethernet cat5e or whatever. It runs to a switch that goes to the back of the two tuner/dvr boxes. Is there a way to watch/record these channels on my htpc? The only tuners I see are for RF coaxial connections. Would be nice to get rid of the cable box and its noisy fan.
I boot OpenELEC into X-NEWA Web Client. Does changing the streaming mode in X-NEWA settings have any effect when using the Web Client? They all appear to work except VLC.
Can I ask that you add the info for using autoexec.py to autostart X-NEWA to the sticky at the top of the page. It took me ages yesterday to find the old post which contained the instructions.
Tonight Time Warner encrypted the last few local channels on my cable. All I have left is Disney.
A few months ago I had a pretty good selection of clearQAM channels, basically most all locals + WGN and Disney (somewhere around 22 good channels). Then sometime around early August most of the channels suddenly disappeared; they were moved & encrypted I guess, as the frequencies they'd been on now had no channels. I was down to 7 channels: CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, KTLA (the CW), WGN, & Disney, but it actually was fine, it covered 90% of what I wanted to watch and I was probably watching too much TV anyway. Then about two weeks ago WGN disappeared, but at least Manhattan had already wrapped for the season so it was a bummer but not immediately tragic. Then last week KTLA was encrypted, and it was on the same frequency as CBS so I knew the other shoe was about to drop. I spent some time fiddling with some indoor antennas I had (I've moved to an apartment and am not permitted to have an outdoor antenna), and I managed to get KTLA back. But the VHF channels including ABC & Fox weren't detected at all, while CBS & NBC are pretty choppy. Now tonight my recordings of Jeopardy and The Shark Tank on ABC are blank-screen, and a scan reveals that the only clearQAM channel I have left is Disney. My daughter loves "Dog with a Blog", and the new Star Wars Rebels animated series is not entirely terrible, but otherwise I have no use for Disney. Presumably that one will be encrypted soon too.
I'm debating what to do. I think my first try will be this: http://www.frys.com/product/8319787?site...IN_RSLT_PG. The idea of giving up on broadcast TV altogether does cross my mind, aside from NFL Football on Sundays I can probably get most of what I want to watch with streaming services. There are surely ways to watch football online too if I try. Of course that means I'd have no further use for NextPVR...
I am trying to get the new(ish) videos view to show for a TV series I'm playing with & nothing I do will get the sod to show, so I suspect I have some basic error(s) with the nfo files I'm creating.... they are attached in the zip if some kind soul who knows more than me would have a look see..... please
(& no google hasn't really been my friend on this one it just shoves me all over the place & make me spend hours trying things out)
I have also attached an image of the directory showing all the file that are in there
