Lately my npvr system has bees slow to respond, it seems to have gotten worse after a recent windows update. I haven't looked in the logs to see how long things actually take but stopping a playback can take about 15-20 seconds. Has anyone else noticed this? I seem to remember that someone mentioned indexing some tabels in npvr.db3 some time ago, can anyone remember what this was all about?
The Recording service seems to die from time to time and recordings won't start until i manually restart it.
It seems like a new problem with this version 3.2.9, i don't think it happened before to me.
It happened twice this last two days. I'm hoping something obvious can be seen in the Logs i attach.
I welcome any improvements made by users, obviously I haven't had much time to spend on this over the last few months.
I suspect the next time I'll have to really work on the project will be over xmas (so yeah 4 months away). I may be able to work on it sooner, would like to convert it to angulardart and take advantage of that, since it compiles down to javascript it should work fine with this, but make the objects more strict and easier to unit test etc.
Its on bitbucket instead of github as I prefer Hg to git.
I'm sure I've asked this before but can't find my post.
My npvr db only has a single genre for each TV show as that's all my xmltv source provides. I seem to remember though that some guide sources provide more than one per TV show and the EPG_EVENT.genres column has them stored in some sort of delimited format. If that's the case, what is the delimiter? Comma, colon, semi-colon?
What I want to be able to clear Recording History for individual episodes.
I record older television shows for my video library and don't delete them after watching since I enjoy watching them multiple times. I've set the advanced configuration setting to 9999 so they don't record again. On occasion, a recording either gets messed up or accidentally deleted and I need to be able to record the episode again the next time it airs.
I've looked at the NPVR.DB3 database and see the scheduled_recording table that stores all the recordings that have been recorded or are scheduled to be record. In the Recently_deleted table I can see the unique_identifier field that correlates to the unique_id field in the EPG_Event table so NPVR knows not to record it again. However, I don't see this field in the scheduled_recordings table. I'd like to be able to delete the one episode from the recently_deleted table. I know it's being stored somewhere because you're adding it when NPVR deletes the recording but I don't see how you are relating the scheduled_recording record to the unique_id data in the EPG
I'm an accomplished database programmer and would be more than willing to develop a small utility to accomplish this and share it with the community as well as any other utilities I might develop in the future if you would be willing to share how you are relating the recently_deleted table to the scheduled_recordings table when you delete a recording.
I did search the forums and you indicated in one post that when a recording is flagged as failed for whatever reason, it would not be added to the recently_deleted table. I could possibly set the status to a failed indication or update the failure_reason field and let NPVR manage the recently_deleted table.
I look forward to a long association with the NPVR community.
I am experimenting with transcoding recordings from .ts to .mp4. I am using:
ffmpeg.exe -i infile.ts -c:v libx264 -crf 20 -s 720x404 -c:a copy outfile.mp4
After the transcode, I update scheduled_recording table of npvr.db3 with the new filename.
They play in vlc but not in npvr.
Is this a codec issue, a transcode issue or an npvr issue?
The attached log doesn't tell me a whole lot.
Having an issue with my NextPVR and HD PVR 2 setup. I am getting no picture and sound on live TV. I am using the arcsoft decoders and can play other video files with no issue. However, when I switch to Live TV i get a black screen and no audio.
At the bottom on the progress bar, I get a weird number on the left hand side like --35791394.
I think this issue might be a communication issue between the software and HD PVR 2 hardware. When I use the hauppauge software to watch live tv, the HD PVR 2 glows yellow. When using NextPVR it glows white.
been using LM gestion (http://lm-remote-keymap.software.informer.com/versions/) for a year as my remote software and noticed that the official site has disappeared from the net. Does anyone know what happened? I think the site used to be lmgestion.net.
Just a note that I've noticed there's a lmgestion.ca in Canada and I'm wondering if there was some litigation going over the name?
