Having a weird issue and can't find any threads on it. When I do a long recording like a 3 hour hockey game the middle gets cut out. I'll be watching and it will be at end of first or just into the second then bam I've got 10 minutes left in the third. I know it's going to happen because a 3 hour game is about a 1:25 video. Happens on more than one channel, i.e. espn, BSN, Big10. Doesn't seem to impact shorter shows like sitcoms, just long things.
I've attached a .jpg screen shot of a Kodi Matrix screen about which I have question. The row of cards below the "Recently played channels" title shows three cards a with blue line at the bottom of the card. The line's length varies.
What does this blue line mean? I can find no explanation in any of the Kodi documents I know of.
Thanks.
JohnC
PS: Twice I've tried to attach the zipped .jpg file by using drag-and-drop. I get a green check mark at 2.6MB but the file doesn't show in preview. Too big? I hope it's posted.
I tried NextPVR after having to dust off my old AVERMedia tuner as today my new Hauppage TV tuner got fried when lightning struck my roof antenna. I can't use WinTV 10 anymore as it only works with genuine Hauppage tuners, and I used to use SichboPVR 4 but now on my desktop it only gives me half the frame rate (but recordings play back at the correct frame rate) on my laptop SichboPVR 4 runs fine. NextPVR was the next step as Media Portal 2 crashes when I tried to open any of the scanned channels. I have one glaring problem though.
NO ability to record!
I set up my recording folder in the settings server side, but when I play a TV channel, there is a big gap in the icons on the OSD, where the record button should be. Because of this I can not record any TV shows at all.
EDIT: I also noticed that when Live TV is enabled the status bar on the bottom that's meant to count from the start of the show to the end, hovers near the end all the time and the time quickly switches between -00:00:00 to -00-00-01, and the green bar is juddering in the same spot. Does this have something to do with the missing record button? Is there a hotkey I can use that may force recording or is recording just not going to work on my PC?
Is it possible to add additional users so that each user at least has their own preferences and what recordings they have watched? I'd really like the ability to add additional users with each user having their own status of each recording.
I have finally gotten an Android TV box for my living room, however the font is too small to read from the other side of the room (for me at least). When I was watching from the computer it self I just increased the font size in Windows settings, however I do not see that option in Android TV or the app
Hello,
I am trying to use a two display setup. I have a all in one pc with a USB to HDMI adapter with the everything to display on the 2nd display ( Not the All in one). I have tried the second display set up as either screen 1 or screen 2. I have gone in the JSON file and set the display to either screen 1 or 2. I have a error 87 parameter incorrect message. My USB to HDMI adapter is outputting 720. I have changed the value within the JSON file to 1280X720 and even 1024x768. Still get the error message.
What am I missing?
Please help.
Thank you,
Bruce
which record but don't record any audio stream. It's only some recordings (about 50% of the Judge Judy episodes and some Flip or Flop).
If I do a ffprobe on the .ts file I get:
Input #0, mpegts, from './Flip Or Flop/Season 06/Flip.Or.Flop.S06E01.Poolside.Potential.ts':
Stream #0:0[0x100]: Video: h264 (High) ([27][0][0][0] / 0x001B), yuv420p(tv, bt709, progressive), 1920x1080 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 25 fps, 25 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc
<end>
so no audio stream.
Most other recordings show:
Input #0, mpegts, from './Flip Or Flop/Season 03/Flip.Or.Flop.S03E03.Cracked.Flip.ts':
Stream #0:0[0x100]: Video: h264 (Main) ([27][0][0][0] / 0x001B), yuv420p(tv, bt709, progressive), 1920x1080 [SAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 25 fps, 25 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc
Stream #0:1[0x101]: Audio: aac (LC) ([15][0][0][0] / 0x000F), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 146 kb/s
Any suggestions on how I troubleshoot this? It's only happening about 10% of the time, as far as I can tell.
My hdhomerun dual gets a lot fewer channels than my QuadHD. Will it be used first for the channels it can get? If so, I'll remove any channels it gets weak signals on from it's list.
Nothing shows up in pending or recent recordings. Nothing is recording at all. I made no changes and I didn't reboot the computer which would have caused these problems.
The tuners show up in the SHOW STATUS and are available. Also shows up in the web interface as devices. I'm on the most recent version 231022. I have rebooted now NextPVR and recycled all the tuners.
Logs attached. Any help on how to proceed is greatly appreciated.
