Hi,
I have just started to use GB-PVR and so far it seems to be the best program. I have a HVR-3000 card and am using both DVB-T and DVB-S tuners. The problem I am having for the moment is that whenever a commercial starts or stops then the picture freezes but the sound is ok, to fix this I need to go back to the menu and start the channel again and then all is ok.
Any help to solve this would be much appreciated.

I have an XP Pro PC with 2 Hauppauge PVR500s and one Hauppauge PVR 150 (total of 5 analog tuners/inputs). Currently, one of the 500s and the 150 are active (couldn't get GBPVR to correctly tune the the second 500, but that's a different issue). I don't have any STBs currently connected. I just have the incoming analog cable feed attached directly to the PVR cards.
In preparation for next February's analog cut off, I want to get my system set up so I can record off of at least 3 (preferably 5) STBs connected via RCA cables to the PC. I realize I will need a blaster for each STB, but my main issue is how do I control 3+ blasters independently? Also, how would they connect to the PC?

Javawiz, are you able to investigate the loading of thumbnails from somewhere like dvdempire.com (or amazon for that matter).

DVDempire seems to have some fairly large (500 x ??) images, where imdb seems to be really small. I'm guessing it's a screen scrape though.

Im recording a vodeos for viewing on computers, and when I record and play them back on a computer they seem okay. But when I convert them (to x.264) interlace lines show up at every movement...is there any way to deinterlace the source so I can convert to x.264 without this problem?

I had been using .ts for quite a while with little problems, but the upgrade to 1.2.9 broke that.

dvr-ms is nothing but a horrible choppy mess.

cyberlink plays VERY nice, but the sound gets farther from the video as the show goes on.
at the end of a 2 hour show, the sound is 6 seconds off.

is there another mux I should try??

has someone with the cyberlink sound problem worked through it??

I currently only use GBPVR to record OTA. I play the files using network media players and Swisscenter. I recently purchased a PCH and would like to be able to use GBPVR as a total software solution. Currently, all of my movies are in individual folders with a folder.jpg file. Will this work with MovieWiz? Also, could someone post some screen shots of the navigation through movies? I looked through the Wiki, but would like to see some more screen shots.

I am trying to set GBPVR with an AverMedia M038 USB tuner that is connected to my STB thru its composite input. But what I get in LiveTV is a strange picture that seems that it is out of sync and is black and white.

I woud like to explain here that the USB tuner is NTSC based but the STB is PAL. I think it should not make a difference because I am using composite signals here. I do believe that this mixture of NTSC and PAL is confusing GBPVR somehow. If so can this be fixed?

I have downloaded the trial version of SageTV and the same setup worked perfectly in it.

Can someone shed some light on this?

I'm looking at adding a 1Tb NAS running 100/1000 RJ-45 (Buffalo or Fantom) device to my network. I was thinking for backup purposes, but I wonder if 1Gb would be fast enough for media storage/streaming?

On my main box, at my main TV, my remote seems to double click when I hit OK. For instance, I click OK on recordings, and it goes into recordings, and then opens the popup menu for the first recording in the list.

If I do down in the recordings listing, it goes down twice.

Clicking with the mouse works, so I believe it's something with HIP.

Has anybody run into something like this?

If you don't use HIP, what do you use for Remote settings?

I just upgraded my GBPVR install on my Win2K machine to PVRX2 1.2.13 . It is noticeably snappier than GBPVR, in both CONFIG execution and video playback on the PC. However, on my MVP I see just updated screen segments? after the full main menu. This occurs using the dongle from the install as well as other previously good dongles as well as the most recent MVPMC. The only one I have found to work is the MVPMC dongle Sub advises for Vista contained in DongleX2a.zip.
