  TV Episode question for Moviewiz
Posted by: gazoo - 2008-03-11, 09:04 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (6)

I have several series, like Battlestar Galactica that have the name of the show and the name of the episode. Moviewiz never seems to find these. Is there a way to prep these better so the episodes can be found, or does the web lookup not look for series/episodes, only movies?

Alternatively, if an episode specific match can't be found, is there a way to get the same cover art for all the episodes? That way, at least there's a picture to go with them even though not a description other than the title. I guess this is like a mass picture tagging type function.

  NMT wishlist
Posted by: Sheik Yerbouti - 2008-03-11, 08:36 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

Now that you (sub and mvallevand) have managed to get this far with the mvpmcx2 client, I figured it was time to do the first wishlist for the NMT Smile
Before I start I should really point out that you've all done a great job, I never expected it to evolve this quickly. Great work, guys!

Here we go:
- On screen display from GBPVR;
- Faster starting of videos;
- Current playing song info;
- Skipping the GBPVR way (press a number, press skip);
- I thought there was more, but I can't come up with anything. This just shows how great it is working now.

I realise that for these wishes you will probably have to leave mono (the PCH media player), so it's a lot of work. But I really feel these are missing features, although that's because I'm spoiled with the current functionality of the mediamvp Big Grin

  Mvpmcx2 and divx files
Posted by: Sheik Yerbouti - 2008-03-11, 08:20 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (17)

The divx files I'm trying to play on the PCH are very choppy, but the strange thing is that they play fine when I'm using MyIhome. I've mentioned this before when mvpmcx2 wasn't even there yet (http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=66), so I believe it has something to do with the way the integrated PCHbridge is sending the file to the PCH player (mono).

  Using Composite Source?
Posted by: nick-harper - 2008-03-11, 07:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi,

I am currently using my sky box to feed my hauppauge 1100 card and it works fine with WinTV with recording etc but the only thing is that I cannot set a schedule to record.

I can set an autoview reminder on the sky box it is just the PC I need to find a way to record at a certain time from this source.

I just wondered how I setup this source on GBPVR as I had a play about but cannot find this?

Thanks

  Adjusting antenna direction
Posted by: djcpal1 - 2008-03-11, 07:34 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (10)

Sometimes I get a window appearing in GBPVR showing signal strength and quality. Is there any way to get that to appear at will? I would like to use it to adjust the antenna direction.

I found this thread
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=30337

but I think that is just for certain equipment, and I have a cheap, no-name adaptor.

Thanks

  Anyone run TF2 off of PVRX2?
Posted by: gazoo - 2008-03-11, 06:36 PM - Forum: GameZone - Replies (2)

I was wondering if there was an easy way to launch Team Fortress 2 from PVRX2 and have it return after TF2 exit? Maybe tf2 launched via command line?

  Fast forward/skip HD recordings broken in 1.2.9
Posted by: jonm - 2008-03-11, 06:14 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

This is odd, if I try and skip through a recording of BBC HD in 1.2.9 I get very strange slow broken-up playback for a couple of seconds and then it will correct itself and play OK. If I skip a few times in a row playback stops altogether. What could be causing this? It seems fine for non-HD recordings. Live BBC HD is fine (as is playback of a recording if I don't try and skip/ffwd)

Jon.

  "your system does not support VMR9" whenr unning on WinXP64
Posted by: McBainUK - 2008-03-11, 06:03 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

When I run on my gaming/dev PC I get the "your system does not support VMR9" error, this is rubbish as its quite high spec. I can only assume its because it has WinXP64.

Anything I can do to get around this check?

  Any interrest in double speed Comskip for HD?
Posted by: erik - 2008-03-11, 05:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (40)

I am considering making a special setting for Comskip that will allow processing at double speed, this could be of relevance for HD recordings but it may also work for SD.
Is there any interest?

  1.2.9 overwrites <CompleteEPGReload> on install
Posted by: McBainUK - 2008-03-11, 05:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Title says it all really. Over than that the install went fine on 3 different machines (one with WinXP64).
