BDA EPG scan does not work/load 1.2.9
Posted by: javaboyuk - 2008-03-12, 12:30 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Arrrrrrrr.. wthis has been driving me mad for 1.5 hours....

Fresh install of Windows XP, patched, Cole2K_Media Codecs loaded
after I worked out thats why I had sound but no picture!

Can scan my channels and load them into EPG. BUT then "update EPG"
runs real fast (3 secs?) and no errors :-) but start up gbpvr.exe and
the TV Guide is empty.....

Turns out 1.2.9 does not creat the C:\Temp dir (I had left as the
default in "Directories" Recordings Directory or Maybe LiveTV Buffer Dir.)
if it does not exist, just made it and all works ok now!!!!

Thanks for the new release sub, but just wantted to share this as I think
others may hit it. Any chance it could pop an error up or auto creat the
dirs if they don't exist?

Russel

Unable to switch between full screen and windowed!
Posted by: nemulate - 2008-03-11, 10:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,

has anyone else experienced this? When I change config to start in windowed mode it's still fullscreen! Also alt + enter doesn't toggle between fullscreen and windowed. Anything I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

  [DVB-T] Gigabyte GT-U7000-RH
Posted by: nwagenaar - 2008-03-11, 10:39 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (7)

I managed to get my Gigabyte GT-U7000-RH DVB-T USB reciever detectable using the following lines in the DVB.ini:

Code:
[Gigabyte GT-U7000-RH] TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T FILTER_TUNER="DiBcom BDA Digital Tuner (Dev1 Path0) " FILTER_CAPTURE="DiBcom BDA Digital Capture (Dev1 Path0) " PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0 PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I then created a new INI for my provider (Digitenne) in my region (Zwolle):

Code:
[TERTYPE] 1=Netherlands 2=Zwolle [DVB] 0=4 1=C22,482000,0,0,8 2=C65,826000,0,0,8 3=C23,490000,0,0,8 4=C47,682000,0,0,8

But, when scanning the quality and signal is allways 0 and nothing is detected. I know for 100% sure that everything is right, mainly since other apps seem to get channels using the same config Wink

Am I missing something in my BDA.ini config?

  Audio Captions on BBC HD?
Posted by: jonm - 2008-03-11, 10:29 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (64)

I don't know if this is something I've changed or if it's something that's happened at the BBC, but I'm now getting audio captions (or whatever they're called) on BBC HD programs, i.e. someone narrating and explaining what's happening in the program.

Can anyone else who has a DVB-S tuner in the UK and can watch BBC HD confirm whether this is now happening for them on BBC HD please? Or have I somehow changed something and enabled this (if so, I've no idea what!)

Thanks

Jon.

  "No signal detected" 1.2.9
Posted by: martint123 - 2008-03-11, 10:24 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Tuning to a DVB-T channel with nova-t-500 via the TV Guide the first time pvrx2 starts brings up the "No signal" popup but with the bars at an acceptable value. Escaping out to the main menu and back in again (without exiting pvrx2) does not bring up the popup.

  Recording from multiple lineups
Posted by: philly_phenom - 2008-03-11, 10:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Is this possible w/ GB-PVR:

My current setup is all analog cable (using a PVR-500). I'd like to use my setup for HD as well with HDHomeRun. However, the only clear QAM stations I get are the local broadcast stations.

If I set up a second lineup w/ SchedulesDirect, and use that for the HDHomeRun, can GB-PVR be confiugured to use one lineup for HDHomeRun and the other for the PVR-500?

Basically, can gbpvr handle multiple lineups on one box?

Time change has guide one hour off
Posted by: ursus - 2008-03-11, 10:13 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I am running Win2K and it did not automatically update the new daylight savings time, as it was ahead 2 weeks this year. I changed the time manually 2 days ago. I did a complete reload of the EPG a couple of times, yet all programs are still off by 1 hour.

Would anyone please tell me how to fix this issue? I can see the guide fine but it is off by one hour, so all recordings must be done by "Manual Recording".

Thank you.

  Satelco EasyWatch PCI DVB-S2
Posted by: nwagenaar - 2008-03-11, 10:01 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (6)

Hi,

I was not sure if it's the right forum to post this, but I've managed to get the Satelco EasyWatch PCI DVB-S2 card working under GB-PVR using the following lines to be used in the BDA.INI :

Code:
[Satelco EasyWatch PCI DVB-S2] TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1 FILTER_RECEIVER=Satelco EasyWatch PCI DVB-S2 Tuner (BDA) PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Input0 PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Since that the Satelco devices are based upon KNC1 hardware, you can possibly use these lines with KNC1 hardware in combination with the 1.7.x.x BDA drivers. The new BDA drivers use the same tuner/capture name, and I only got it working using the FILTER_RECEIVER option.

I'm not sure if GB-PVR supports DISEQC commands on the Satelco/KNC1 hardware in combination with the 1.7.x.x BDA drivers. I'm doing a scan now on my primary sat and I hope to test others later.

"system" to show server space stats.
Posted by: martint123 - 2008-03-11, 09:50 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

It would be handy in my situation, if the "system" menu, running on a client, showed used and free space on the server data drive rather than the local clients free space.

Only mentioned as I nearly got caught out by a nearly full disk, that I thought had plenty of space.

Cheers,
Martin

  TV guide broken!
Posted by: robjf - 2008-03-11, 09:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Havent changed anything to be honest yet it has stopped pulling the data. I click update epg, and it says that the details are being retreived and says that its saving them after about 2 seconds, whereas before it used to take nigh on 6 minutes?!

Would be very grateful if you could help, the TV channels work, just no epg data.

Thanks, rob.
