Is there a way to set margins for the OSD? I am using VMR9, and have my ATI card set to "video mode". This makes a great playback picture, but the OSD is cropped due to the overscan.
I saw settings for OSD margin in the config.xml file, but they were XCard settings.
I have a recording setup to record at 11:00 am daily. Prior to the recording, I had remote deskoped into my server and opened gbpvr and left it open (I also have an MVP which was not being used at this time).
Around 11:05, I logged into my server PC and saw that it was recording and the gbpvr instance was in screen saver mode. I then closed the window (as I was done with it), and suddenly the recording stopped. Here is the relevent information from the recordingservice logfile:

It is very interesting that somehow along the way, it got to thinking that I was watching live TV which is definately NOT the case....
Anyway, have done a scan of channels - when it finishes - GBPVR scanning crashes - with the following errors:
See the end of this message for details on invoking

1. Is there anyway to automatically delete(remove) commercials while it is recording the they are not in the mpeg file?
2. For Video Decoder, Audio Decoder, and Audio Renderer, I just have "System Default".. should I change this? The pull down boxes have a few different ones listed.
3. What is FFDShow post-processing and should I enable it?
4. What is the easiest and best program to remove padding at the beginning and end.. and commercials from an mpeg file?
5. Is DivX the best format for smaller file sizes yet still good quality? Should I automatically convert to DivX?
I'm a PVR newbie. I just installed a PVR150MCE in a WinXP Pro machine. Everything seems to be working perfectly, except that GBPVR can't find the FM tuner. The error message is: "Unable to locate available FM tuner".
I installed the SW from the Hauppauge site, and it works with the FM tuner.
Tonight I updated from 96.12 to 97.13 and then converted the database to SQLLite using the ChangeDatabase.exe utility. Things went pretty well. The main problem I have is that some recordings are now showing as manual with no title and no description. I have attached my logs and my exported recordings XML files. Below is an example of what I am referring to. I am mainly looking for a way to get the information from my backup export file into the database. I tried a few things and it says the show is already in the database or the file has moved.

I had my GB-PVR box up and running perfectly until I broke my capture card. I just replaced it and thought it would be a cinch to make it run just as well as it did before. No such luck.
Since getting the computer back up and running, I updated to the latest version of GB-PVR available. It seems to work fine, except that it crashes every single time I try to play a DIVX file. It gets the generic Windows message about needing to be shut down. The file DOES play in the background, but I can't see it through the ugly Windows error.
Since I set up the box to convert everything to DIVX, I don't have any non-DIVX files to see if thats the problem. I did upgrade to the latest version of DIVX... same problem, kept crashing.
If I didn't know better, it looks like a weak signal on most of my channels. It's just staticy. 2 channels come in crystal-clear, but the others are varying levels of crappy.
I unplugged my GBPVR box and plugged the cable directly into the TV. It looks great! Through the computer, it looks crappy.
This is an older box that was out of commission for a while, since I broke my Hauppage 500 card during one of my "fixes". I replaced the card with another 500, updated GB-PVR, and have been getting this ever since.
Also worth noting is that I put in a new wireless-G card, as opposed to the wireless-B I had in there before. Could this cause some disturbance? Something else maybe?
