LiveTV Quality setting not working on 0.97.9
Posted by: csy - 2006-06-21, 08:03 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I have noticed the LiveTV Quality setting in config.exe does not work in 0.97.9, however manually editing the values in direct.ini does work.

Recording service no longer overrides Live-previewTV
Posted by: csy - 2006-06-21, 07:39 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

If you have setup a show to be recorded and you are currently watching TV in Live-preview mode at the time the recording is supposed to start, then the recording does not start until you exit Live-previewTV.

Old GBPVR versions used to automatically exit live-previewTV just prior to the recording starting, however this stopped working sometime over the last few GBPVR versions.

Have I missed something, or is this a bug?

  GBRecord crashes on Win2K3 / PVR150
Posted by: dpijl10 - 2006-06-21, 05:27 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hi,

any help appreciated here. I would like to use GBRecord to capture a on Win2K3. WinTV2000 works properly and this configuration works also on XP, but GBRecord crashes on Win2K3 server with the message:
The instruction at "0x7c838bdb" referenced memory at "0x00300038". The memory could not be written.

Any ideas on what the problem is?

System:

Warning message when changing channel in timeshift mode
Posted by: ubu - 2006-06-21, 04:11 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

It would be nice if a config option could be set that would cause a warning ("Are you sure?") message to be displayed if you try to change channel while in timeshift mode.

Scenario: You are watching something good when the phone rings. So you hit pause so GB-PVR will switch to timeshift and start buffering. After 20 minutes on the phone you remember that the program you were watching is still paused so you can continue watching it. But instead of hitting Play on the remote, you accidently hit Prev Channel. GB-PVR changes channel and discards the 20 minutes of saved program you were hoping to watch.

You respond by saying something very bad that your mother wouldn't like! Big Grin

Recordings not displaying information on osd during playback
Posted by: Fungii - 2006-06-21, 03:18 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi! This is my first posting on here and I just wanted to say what a great program this is. Very cool.

I am having a problem that just seemed to crop up today. When I am watching a recording, if you pause it or hit the blue button, the OSD is not showing the program information. The OSD just shows the file name. This is strange because earlier this week I was watching some stuff and it was showing this information. Also, the information does show up on the recording screen before I choose "play" to watch the video.

Any ideas? I suppose this information is stored in a database somewhere? I checked the OSD skin.xml and it does have the @currentVideoTitle and such entered in it. Also, I ran EPGExtra. Maybe that screwed up the listings somehow? I tried updating the EPG but that didn't seem to help at all.

Thanks!

Fungii

  S-Video input
Posted by: Wajo357 - 2006-06-21, 02:34 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hey all,
I am new to this program, so please have patience. I am on WinXP using a dell with their standard tv tuner card and remote. I just got a camera system that outputs on the S-video cable. I would like to set up the program to use both my cable tv and the s-video for a specific channel. I was able to get the tv working, but not the S-video.
Recording Source: Direct Recording Plugin
Capture Card Type (checked only show devices detected in this machine). I selected either ATI TV wonder Elite or ATI Theater 550 Pro (I am not to sure which one to choose).
Board Number: Capture Device #1
Source: S-Video, external tuner
EPG Source: NONE
Channel Changer, no channel changer required.

I made a channel 1 just so that there is a channel.
When I try playing the live tv, I get an error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Can someone PLEASE help me set this up?

  TV tuner Card suggestions?
Posted by: Scooby06 - 2006-06-21, 02:28 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (9)

I want to put a tuner card in my pc so I can watch/record some shows and maybe convert them to play on my Ipod. I have been looking at the Hauppauge 150 and some based on Ati thetare 550 chipset. I see that the 150 doesn't have fm capabilities, but if that's the better of the two then I'll deal with it.If anyone else has a recommendation, let me here it.Thanks
