I have an issue with resuming from standby that I am hoping someone has had similar difficulties as it is a bit odd. If I manually Standby the the PC and then wake it, go to Live TV, everything is fine however if I Standby, manually record a show then wake the machine then when I go to view Live TV I get an error 'Access Denied'. It seems I can schedule any number of Timed recordings that wake and sleep the machine and they all record fine.
I set up the standby mode according to article - http://support.microsoft.com/default.asp...%5D;841858
as this fixed some waking issues with the RedRat controller when I was running with Showshifter.
The machine is running a fresh install of XP with a Hauppage 250 card and an ATI Radeon 9250
Could GBPVR scheduled recoder be not releasing the tuner?
...and by remotley I don't mean by a remote , but that I want to use RDP(RemoteDesktop) to connect to it, start GBPVR and make a recording that starts at a given time.
This just happened to me, now when I'm at work, so I tried this, but it complained something about that my system didn't have VMR9 installed or whatever, but I do, since I did a recording just last night.
I had to call wifey to fix this and that worked fine
I wonder if this is possible by some other program, or just to edit some file or something, hence making this possbile.
I know I should plan a little better :p but since I'm not that kind of a person, I always miss things
I have just added two more nova-t PCI cards to my GB-PVR server, and I can't get the third card to tune in. I am feeding all three cards from different outputs of a multi output TV aerial amp/splitter, fed from a common aerial that worked fine with 1 card.
When I added capture sources in config only one entry was in the list tuner cards ( OK I suppose as it list types and all cards are identical, so there is only one type ). I set up three capture sources, (although the software seemed happy to let me add more capture sources that didn't exist ) and I gave the tuners different names . When I scan for channels, the first tuner gets them OK, the second tuner seems to struggle with lots of "unknown channel" in the channel list, and a small number of channels listed multiple times. The third tuner sees no channels at all.
I suspect I have a poor RF cable, but I can't trackdown which card has the problem. They are in PCI slots 2 , 3 and 4. Is there a way of identifying which capture source is in which PCI slot?
The cards are identical nova-t PCI 90002 type boards, and all are seen OK in control panel / system / hardware / devices list.

I don't know how much over head it would add it check if the skin file has been updated beffore drawing.
It's something I do on my plugins so that while in GBPVR you can update the skin, and 90% of it will update with the new skin values. It make skin development and tweaking SO much easier.
I use Serene Screen for a screen saver. (Its an aquarium and totaly worth the money if you like that sort of thing) It runs through the default xp SS setting. Anyhow I'm wondering if there is a way to display it through the mvp so I can have it on the tv while music is going.
I searched and found a thread that mentioned the My Programs plug in. I tried it but the only thing I was able to do was turn it on, on my computer monitor. Am I missing a setting or something to get it on th TV?
I currently do not have internet for the computer I will be using, is this a problem? I try setting the epg source to none, but when going to live tv, it says to update epg. Any help?
Im having problems with my MPV. I think I need a multiplexer. I try diferent threads but they are dead. Can some one help me, I can't watch live TV or play any of my recordings
