Great program.
I'm using XMLtv to download epg. (UK Freeview)
When viewing 'TV Guide' only half of the channels are populated.
e.g. no BBC1 , BBC2 ,Scottish TV etc.
Most channels are in the channel list twice and I've tried selecting 'BBC 1' instead of 'BBC1' to no avail.
What's confusing me is that the channels are downloaded and viewable using the program 'XMLTV Viewer', so the data.xml file seems OK.
Also when using 'Search Guide' in GBPVR, it finds and displays correctly the programs missing from the above channels.
I recently switched to Vonage/VoIP phone service. That requires adding a phone adapter box, which plugs into my router.
I did all this about simulataneously with a reformatting my HD and reinstalling all my software, so my system had many changes.
Once I finally got around to GBPVR, it was recording fine, and the MVP would start-up fine. But I had the dreaded 'contacting server' message each time I hit play for an mpeg. It was basically the same error log as groover_km posted last year... so I spent a long time fiddling with dongle.bin and other bits of the software. When I killed GBPVR and tried run only the Hauppauge SW... basically got the same result - the app boots but mpegs wouldn't play.
Eventually I unplugged the phone adapater box from my router, and voila, everything played fine on the MVP.
So my final solution was to plug my VoIP phone adapter box into my router, and plug both my PC and MVP connection into the ethernet ports of the phone adapter box
A couple questions I have:
1. Anyone else have the same experience?
2. Is this expected? (I'd love to a bit more about the 'why')
When I go into Search Guide and find my show, I double click and press "Record". When I do that I immediately get error "Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it".
When I head over to "Recordings" then "Pending" the show is displayed.
I like GBPVR, i have on minor niggle in search listing, if I search for something eg '24' I get a nice list of dates that 24 is one, perfect, however it would be nice is you could include the day as well as the date,
I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting SlimServer MP3 streams to work?
I created a PLS file and put it in NetRadio - this then appeared in the Favourites bit of GB-PVR and clicking on it does play music. However I've found it to be very random as to which tunes it plays! The info bar at the bottom of the screen seems to list all the files that are in the current Slim playlist rather than just the one that's playing.
I've tried the same PLS file in WinAMP and it seems to work fine.
ThemePacks at the Wiki
The skin comes with the SharperEdge Theme, but it is also compatible with new version of Advisor ThemePacks. So there will be around 10-15 different graphical layouts avaliable.
Tell me what ThemePacks you would like to be uploaded next. http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/S...isorThemePacks
The BaseSkin with this "Theme Design" is kind of "emulating" the MediaPortal Blue skin.
The skin is based on images for the graphical design instead of XML commands.
Therefor the skin is very flexible from a design point of view..
You will be surpriced what I'm able to do with the BaseSkin.
Who will be the first to make a graphical design based on BaseSkin ?
Hi since SKY here in the uk changed their epg numbers this week thier radio channels now start with a zero eg. 0101 this now creates a problem using my redremote channel changer with exe channel changer pluggin as gbpvr config supresses the leading zero.
Does any one have any ideas for a workaround as i occasionaly record from the radio channels using the epg.
