Hey y'all...
I was hoping to build a PC based on a fanless VIA mobo, but considering what I saw on various posts here, it looks like the CPUs are going to be too weak to handle 2 or 3 tuners, as well as serve AVI files to my MVP, etc...
So my question is 2 fold. First, what do you think is a good CPU to play AVIs on the PVR + the MVP (possibly simultaneously) and handle 2 or 3 tuners
Also, what solutions do you know to make a silent PC... I read about fanless power supplies, but have no feedback on those.... I know I could buy a koolance case and go liquid cooling, but do you know of cheaper alternatives that would also be very silent?
All ideas and input welcome. The goal is silent, and powerful enough. Small size would be a plus, but not a major requirement
I think it would be nice to see what channel a show is on when viewing it in the pending listings. Some shows I record are on more than one channel. Right now, I look at the data and time, then scroll through the guide to find which channel is is coming up on.
If it could be shown in the conflict screens also that would be great!
i just had another look into this 3 plugins, 'coz there are a few thing i dont
like in the original tv guide ...
But with this plugin i have some problems too :
the newst version of xguide only shows 7 programs in epg and i have
definitly defined more in the config in this group ...
i get sometimes an error message that something is not defined when
moving arround with the cusor keys ...
after this i have every channel 2 times shown ...
... the 0.52 version of guide2j does it correctly ...
i have some problems to get everything translated to german language,
e.g. 'Record Type:', i have it in the language.xml with and without the ':',
but its not translated ...
when i use the guideWidth variable to have only 1 hours shown, can i strech
it completly to the right border ?
when i select the advanced button in the menu of an selected show, it comes
an error message that he cannot find the PriorityRecordings.xml in the gbpvr
folder (in both versions ...)
can i change the time to 24 hours display and not the am/pm variant ?
where is the keyboard layout defined ? can i change it to the qwertz type ?
Just tried archiving for the first time as my recording drive is running out of space
I tried archiving an episode which had an episode name and description beforehand, but after the episode was archived it ended up with an episode name of 'allintitle: star trek enterprise_20050605_20002100 site:imdb.com - Google Search' and no description which isn't what I expected
The Video Archive database had the information for the episode in before I tried archiving, but afterwards it was replaced with the information shown above.
I have a hauppauge wintv go TV board and it works with other Programs, but really want to have this program, does anyone know if there is a download for this program to recognize my board as a compatable board for this program?
today is pvr-day for me:-)
Now live-preview-mode works (the first time!).
But when I enable teletext, there is an error.
I've reinstalled directX and this says, WST is successfully installed.
But the gbpvr-log says this:
I'm wondering if anyone can find a solution for me. I live in Southern California and I like to watch (american) football games that are not being broadcast here. I'm trying to figure out if there are sites out there that talk about whether it's possible for me to "stream" their feed onto my computer--and i'm guessing i could watch it through gbpvr.
