I added the ip address for the server, and put the PIN in the space under, but the app never connects. I only bought it because I had some Google play funds that I'd earned taking surveys that was going to expire and nothing better to spend it on.
I can post the NPVR logs if you need them, but scrubbing the personal info from them is so tedious I'd rather not if not necessary.
My setup is a mix of HD Homerun for Saorview and a Telstar Digitbit R1 (Firmware Version V1.25.0.157). The HD Homerun portion works as expected, however I am experiencing a tedious problem with the Digibit for UK Freesat channels.
On channels such as ITV2 for example, I consistently receive the audio descriptive stream by default. Having searched this forum and seeing that most other problems were client related, I decided to remove NextPVR from the troubleshooting equation and work directly between VLC and the Digibit R1.
I reviewed the npvr.db3 and identified the ITV2 HD stream that exists on my NextPVR, from there I located the ITV2 HD equivalent from the Digibit M3U to test with.
Standard Sat>IP URL for ITV2 HD (PID's Match in NPVR)
rtsp://192.168.110.20/?freq=11053&src=aa&pol=h&msys=dvbs2&fec=34&rolloff=35&pilots=auto&sr=23000&mtype=auto&sid=20710&pmt=258&pids=0,2305,2306,258
From reviewing the codec information in VLC (screenshot attached) the PID format I require is pids=0,2305,2307,258
The URL rewritten looks like this and works as expected:
rtsp://192.168.110.20/?freq=11053&src=aa&pol=h&msys=dvbs2&fec=34&rolloff=35&pilots=auto&sr=23000&mtype=auto&sid=20710&pmt=258& pids=0,2305,2307,258
My question is two part
1. Is there an approved way to modify these PID's within NextPVR? My concern with experimenting with the npvr.db3 file (apart from not having an IOTA how it works) is if it might be overwritten periodically on Sat>IP scanning.
2. I am not nor have ever been a Sat>IP expert and it is possible if not probable, I have failed to set up the Digibit R1 correctly, has anyone else experienced the same issue before and aware of a better approach from the Digibit side or middleware?
Hi there, i was testing some recordings using windows as backend and Kodi on an Android tv device and i experienced some strange behaviour if i am playback a past recorded video while at the same time recording another program, basically what happens is that at certain point the playback skip back few seconds. Now i was thinking to play all recordings outside Nextpvr using kodi native video source, will that prevent the issue? Thanks. Luca.
Is it possible to programme the system to look for a particular show into the future, even though it's not now in the EPG and the station that will broadcast it is not necessarily known? I've missed some episodes of shows that are no longer available to stream on the station that broadcast them originally. When I used MediaPortal there was an addon that let me ask it to search the EPG forever for shows I wanted - was very useful. Can't see anything similar here, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place? I did find a mention of a manual scheduling option, but I can't find it in the current NextPVR version and anyway it doesn't sound like it did what I'm after. Is there a list of compatible add-ons somewhere? I'm assuming the Kodi add-ons aren't what I'm looking for.
Excuse me if this is covered elsewhere, searching didn't seem to find anything suitable.
Apologies for the newb questions, but I'm trying to determine if NextPVR is the solution for me.
Current setup:
HDHomeRun Connect Duo with the SiliconDust guide data / DVR
NVidia Shield running Kodi
PBS Live addon for Kodi.
Goal:
Timeshift PBS Live streams.
---
I'm almost perfectly happy with my current setup. I get most over-the-air stations without any issues except for PBS. I installed the PBS Live addon in Kodi and I can see multiple PBS streams when they're airing. Kodi is actually good enough to merge my HDHomeRun and PBS channel listings into a single guide, so I can browse what's currently airing. If I want to view HDHomeRun recordings, I switch out to their app and that's OK. I'd like to be able to schedule recordings and timeshift the PBS stream if possible. The guide data is there in Kodi, so I would rather not have to pony up for schedules direct if I don't have to.
Is there an existing guide to setting this up to timeshift IPTV Streams?
Not all device support it but my new cable box give me the option to restart or catchup an in-progress program from the beginning for many programs. For the tuning string it is a simple matter of
Definitely not important, just something I'll need to figure out eventually.
Cloned the drive with my recording folder to a larger drive with same drive letter/path so nPvr considers it unchanged. The "Available Storage" shows the stats for the original, smaller, drive. System has been rebooted and service restarted without that display changing. I'm thinking if I change the recording folder temporarily to another drive and then change it back that should recalculate drive space but maybe I also need to disable auto remove recordings to keep it from removing everything when I temporarily point it at an empty folder.
I am trying to record to a shared drive on another windows PC from NextPVR running as a service on a Win11 machine. I have tried a number of possible solutions but am stuck at this point. Specifically, I have created a simple PreStartup.bat with one line: net use z: \\192.168.68.39\pvr
Although I get errors in nrecord.log and failed recordings, Drive Z: is actually set by PreStartup.bat and I can see the remote folder contents with DOS/CMD dir Z:. What am I missing please?
Ok I have another issue. I had everything running perfectly then I rebooted the pc. When it came back up and I launched NextPVR.exe it would say unable to connect to remote server. When I go into settings to launch the local host:8866 the main page pulls up but there are no devices. When I select rescan for devices it comes back with local host unexpected error.
I am unable to get the logs for I get the same error. In the task bar the "N" Icon is grey not green.
I am stumped
Thank you for your time.
Bruce
Ok, I installed NextPVR on a new win 11 machine. When I launch NextPVR from a shortcut it opens with low resolution and the channels are tiling and audio is choppy.
When I go into settings and launch the UI client it opens with high resolution and the channels come in like they should. No tiling and the audio is perfect.
This one is throwing me.
Enclosed are the logs.
Thank you for you time in looking at this.
