I'm using the latest NPVR backend release on Linux with a RTL DVB-T tuner with Kodi NPVR add-on. When I tune to watch a live TV channel it's well played until it freezes at about 6 minutes and stops returning to Kodi's channel list.
I've sured that in the same time there's no EPG searching.
I've attached both "device-adapter0.log" and "nrecord.log" (in NPVR_logs.zip) to this post. I've tested in the time period between 19:53:17 and 20:00:26.
I bought the NextPVR client for AppleTV. I can playback recorded shows as long as I don't touch the fast-forward or rewind. If I try to advance through a commercial break, for example, the screen turns black and I cannot watch the rest. I have to back out and restart from the beginning. It won't resume. I cannot replay anything without the screen staying black and must similarly restart the show from the beginning.

Everything looks good using the web app, but if I switch to the uiclient the EGP time is 4 hours ahead of my local time.
What did I miss?
Every Thursday evening the computer refuses to hibernate after recordings are complete. Today I'm cleaning up the directory of recordings I have already watched or are known to be re-runs.
This particular program scheduled for 7 PM Central Daylight Savings time every Thursday leaves files open after recording is completed at 8 PM and shows a 'Date Modified' as 8 PM. Attempting to delete the .ts, ts.map and .timing files results in a File Open and in use by NextPVRServer error (.xml file deleted successfully). This error has been seen before but a restart of the computer allows the deletion of the files.
A program recorded an hour after the completion of the previous recording had no problem recording and all files successfully deleted. Other recordings do not exhibit the same problem as above.
Setup: Windows 10 Home 22H2 with 8 gigs RAM and plenty of hard drive space remaining. Tuner is HD Homerun Flex Duo. Both tuners show as available.
Looking over the event logs do not show any errors. Looking for any ideas. Deleting the program from the scheduler and rescheduling does not fix the problem. Version is 6.1.4.230625.
I'm getting corrupted recordings on one channel (CBS). It's not every recording, but very frequent. No issues with other channels as far as I recall. These are scheduled recordings.
NextPVR 6.1.5.231022 on Windows
Kodi clients 20.5 and 18.5
The recording seems to complete successfully and the indicated runtime looks correct. I can start playback with no issues. But any attempt to jump ahead takes me to the last few minutes of the recording (and the progress bar behaves erratically, not corresponding with the end of the recording). If I play from the beginning without jumping ahead, only the first few minutes play and then it freezes.
The .ts file sizes are much smaller than what they should be. (Both NCIS episodes should be ~3.5GB, but they're only ~500MB). As far as I can tell, the recordings only actually contain a small portion of the beginning and end of the show.
Playing the shows in the NextPVR web interface gives similar behavior.
Here are four examples to examine in the log:
NCIS 3/25 and 3/11
CBS 21 News at 11 3/26 and 3/27
Hi
I have a new Windows 11 machine. Nextpvr all up to date . If machine is awake will record a schedule recording all ok. However if it is asleep then the recording fails with the message Recording service not available.
Thanks for any suggestions
I just rebuilt my NPVR server on a fresh install of Windows 10. Before the rebuild, I had everything working perfectly, and I'm pretty close to getting it back except for tuning. I'm using an HDPVR device and I'm getting the video stream, but I just can't get it to change channels. It's not even firing the IRBlaster (I don't see the IR light up). For the settings, I have the command as:
IRBlast.exe
The passed parameters are:
-channel {channel}
The IRBlast.exe file is in the NPVR root folder and I can run it successfully from a command line from that location. I see in the logs:
