I've upgraded to the latest version of NPVR and mostly like what I see. However, I download my TV programs and generally delete them after watching. In the Video section (where the downloads go) all is working fine as long as I'm outside the folders. But once I go inside a folder, if there is only one episode, I cannot see the Season and Episode # nor can I read the nfo for that episode. Instead what I see is the Series nfo. If there is more than one episode, then the nfo info for each episode is seen as usual. Also, when viewing episode title(s) in a folder, the menu does not work. I cannot delete an episode nor try and select metadata. The menu works if I'm outside the folder. Is this a flaw or was this done by design? If it's on purpose, I'll just have to go back to another skin (which, of course, is no real problem). But I'd rather stay with this one if possible.
When configuring the latest release with my Prime tuner and managing the lineups, I entered my zip code and when trying the 'Find Lineups', I get the message, "Unable to connect to Schedules Direct". I tried on a laptop and on another system and got the same message. Same problem on W8.1 and W10. One system was already configured weeks ago with no problem before the upgrade to 3.5.7.
I'm having no problems with my network, internet or firewalls and no changes have been made to my system other than updating to 3.5.7. Any ideas?
I remember when I was tweaking the vertical style on the main menu a few years ago, there were directions on how to change the font size and the number of items in the main menu. My searches have been fruitless in finding this information, so I ask now... I like the slideout style, but the font size is too small on some of our devices. How could I make the font size larger and also change the spacing so that it makes it easier to read?
NextPVR 3.5.7
Windows 10 Pro 64bit
Ceton InfiniTV6 PCIe
I thought I'd try this out with Windows 10, considering its not officially supported by Ceton, I'm willing to go back to Win 8.1, but in case its something fixable I figured I'd post it.
When I do a channel scan, I seem to be missing a few channels, it can sometimes vary on which channels go missing. I stop all services, remove the db3 file and start over with device detection each time.
Just as an example, I'm usually missing channels 50 - 54. other times I'll get 50-54 and be missing 140 or 180... there are probably more but those are the ones I've noticed. They are also SD so its not that big a deal if they go missing but I didn't want to continue editing my channel list in case I got to the HD channels and found a few missing there as well.
Attached is a zip of my current log file, an html list from the ceton device of the channels it discovered, and all my previous logs which shows NextPVR picking up anything from 792 - 814 channels
I upgraded to 3.5.7.
I stopped and disabled the SageDCT service
I stopped and disabled the NPVR Recording service
I disabled all 6 of the network recorders in devices
I ran device setup on each of the 6 Ceton Tuners (all channels appeared)
When I launch NextPVR, I can see my populated EPG but when I select a channel to watch I get "Unable to find capture device"
This evening I updated to the latest NPVR and noticed the channels in the EPG were out of order. Numerical order, that is. I deleted the channels and rescanned them and downloaded the EPG again, but that didn't cure it. Tried that a couple of times, restarted NPVR, restarted the computer, then thought, 'This is like kicking the vacuum cleaner when it won't start. It's satisfying, but is unlikely to work.' I've attached logs in the hope someone can see what I did wrong. There's a screengrab of NPVR in the archive to show what I am seeing.
I have upgraded my windows 7 x64 pro to windows 10 pro. I upgraded my NPVR to 3.5.7 before upgrading to windows 10. The recording service will not start when windows boots up. I can manually start it and manually start ntray and then am able to record after that, but I need this to be automatic.
I have done a fresh install of NPVR several times including manually deleting the recording service via command prompt. But still it will not start with windows 10. I also disabled my antivirus before one of the installs, I have installed as administrator, and I have verified that all .exe have run as administrator enabled. Nothing makes a difference.
Any other suggestions for what else to look at??
Log attached, although there do not seem to be all the same logs anymore, just the record log..was that a change in 3.5.7??
I have previously upgraded other PCs that were Home editions that did not have problems with NPVR...could there be an issue with PRO?
I have been noticing choppy response when pausing/resuming and skip forward and skip backward since upgrading to 3.5.7 Using 3.4.8 was much smoother and quicker by comparison.
If I pause liveTV, I am seeing stuttering for a few seconds before pause actually happens, same if I resume, it stutters for a few seconds then starts playing normally.
If I try to skip forward, the screen freezes for around 3-4 seconds before the skip occurs, same if I skip back. Again, with 3.4.8, these skips were smooth and quite near instantaneous.
Can You help me with this. Transponders that are with Turbo 8PSK can not be recognized. What I have to put in INI file for this.
Thanks in advance for Your help
