Hi everyone. Thx for your patience with another Newbie here.
1) First time install under Win 10 (I read some ppl using Win 10)
2) 1st run = no video, no audio, Guide is 100% "No Show" entries
3) Only Decoder choice I have is "MS DTV - DVD" (for vid & aud)
4) I enabled that Decoder in audio section and that got me good audio
on all channels
5) Now I have audio on all channels, no video on any channel, and
all Guide entries are still labled "No Show"
I play music, disks, vids, movies all the time with no codec problems
Thanks in advance for your thoughts/advice
I was having constant buffering with any live video from my Colossus Card Recordings were fine, as was TV off of my various OTA cards. I thought my PC had enough power (i7 .3.0 - 8GB RAM). After trying a bunch of other stuff I used a program called Process Lasso (Free version) to boost the priority of the NextPVR service. This solved the problem - both in the NPVR and Kodi front ends!
Hi all, Iâm new to NextPVR. Since Media Center is not apart of Windows 10, I decided on NextPVR after doing some research. I have it installed and working with my Centon InfiniTV4 (The tutorials on how to get infiniTV to work were excellent btw). Now that I have it all installed, my current problem is that I cannot properly watch live tv. I searched the forums for days on end and found that the problem most likely stems from my decoders. After trying different configurations, I was able to get Live TV sort of working. Iâm using the LAV decoders. I can select a channel to watch from the guide and it plays live tv fine for about 15 -20 minutes or so then the program freezes. Also, once I start watching live tv, if I attempt to change the channel using the keyboard, it freezes immediately. (I only have the keyboard for changing channels, no remote). I also noticed that fast moving objects appear to be a bit blurry while watching live tv. I have attached the log files from two separate occasions where the program locked up. The funny thing is, it records shows just fine and I can play those back without an issue. Is there a way to install different codecs that have a proven track record with NextPVR? If someone could please review the attached log files and provide assistance I would be most appreciative.
Has anyone found a way to fix audio Sync issues with Prime. I'm assuming with my loose knowledge of Video / Audio codes that it has something to do with keyframes and Prime having less of them meaning Audio constantly goes out of Sync if doing any skipping when watching or after minor otherwise barely noticeable glitches in the recording.
I had this problem when I had a sabbatical from GBPVR to Windows Media Center (which justified buying a couple of Xbox 360's as Extenders) and I've got it having come back to NPVR. Media Center's build in Codec support for Freeview I did find "slightly" more reliable for the Audio sync than NPVR with Monogram but it was still a shocker with Prime.
Has anyone found a way to make this more reliable or is it just life with Prime. I don't actually watch much on prime but its frustrating to have to constantly stop and resume to get it back into sync.
I have had NPVR working with MC2XML.exe for a while now. I use the newer paid version that pulls the correct EPG data. Anyway, I noticed that I was missing a couple of recent recordings, and noticed my Guide was completely gone. Now, for some reason, when I go into NPVR to map channels, the Devicess show up just fine. The Scan reveals the proper channels, but when I go to map my XMLTV EPG, the Mappings drop down is completely blank. Just empty with no options. I reinstalled the entire operating system and reinstalled it all fresh after updating Windows 7 and I have the exact same issue.
I can watch live TV, and I have every channel that I need. My MC2XML hasn't change at all, except that the EPG data is up to date. My concern is not really my actual guide data though, more so that the channel mappings aren't working for some reason.
Hey all,
I have a VRC-1100 remote control that I have been using with Windows Media Center for some time. I jumped shipped to Kodi (stopped using it because live HD video buffered like crazy) so now just using nextpvr. However I can't seem to get all the buttons on the remote to do what they should. Example the green windows start button just opens up opens on the taskbar. I have gone into nextpvr and checked unchecked checked again the start with green button press but still nothing. Also when I hit the guide button it doesn't do anything. Any help on how to fix this? I appropriate the help.
Hi ive got Next pvr set up with my HD homerun Prime cable card. Works great throughout my network on 10 computers. All set up with the EPH, schedules direct.
i absoulautley love this software, and im still using windows 8.1 with media centre for my main tv DVR.
One question is i would like to change the wallpaper on the main screen to a wallpaper i use on my network, How do i do this ?
I am having this issue with 3.4.8. The audio syncs fine then suddenly the audio quickens and is 3 seconds ahead of the video either on it's own or after FF. If I stop the video and resume or RW the audio will sync then afer a few minutes slowly creeps up to about 3 seconds again.
I am using these codecs:
MPEG2 and H.264: ffdshow Video Decoder
HEVC: LAV
Is there a sync is settings or is it all about finding the right decoders? The ffdshow Video Recorder allows me to view channels that I was having issues with seeing video. Should I focus now on audio codecs only?
The issue occurs on Live and recorded TV. Not on videos/movie playback.
