Incorrect Time On Recordings

I have a problem with recordings that show the incorrect time on the OSD. For example, I recorded "Lost" last night and the recording showed 15:35 when I played it back. When I play the file in Zoomplayer it also shows the total time as 15:35. The files will play fine in GB-PVR (and ZP), but I can no longer FF after the counter reaches 15:35.

I am using the current release (0.94.13) and the Xrecord and My Videos plugins.

Thanks,

I've been having this happen to me also, but not all the time. For instance, one night I recorded a two hour movie but everything I opened it in reported it was little more than 15 minutes long. However, many videos are just fine.

I suspect it might be a problem with the beta PVR150 drivers I'm using. Are you using a 150 or 500 too? I never had this problem until my 250 died and I replaced it. I just upgraded to the latest non-beta 150 drivers released yesterday and I'm hoping I'll find the problem goes away.

I have the same issues with some 1 hour shows like "NCIS" showing like 6 minutes long where the show is 1 hour long. Some times when I play them with GBPVR it will skip to the end if I just rewind a few times I can get it to play all the way.

My setup 94.13
Xppro sp2
1-Pvr150
1-PVR500

Driver version =2.0.34.23209 (due to my recording Service error)

Yes, I'm using a 150 and have beta drivers installed, although I cannot remember which release. Please post back with your results using the new drivers.

I've also noticed that after re-encoding to fit on a CD (using TMPGEnc), the time is reported correctly.

Thanks,

Yeah that sounds like a PVR150 bug. The PVR150 and its drivers are responsible for generating all the timestamp information in the resulting recording. These are used to determine the duration.

I've not seen it personally though.

I saw the same thing a few months back on recordings done on my PVR500 (those on the 350 showed correct timings). Again, this was with beta drivers - it went away when I reverted to the release version.

I upgraded to the latest drivers on the Hauppauge site and still no luck. I tried a manual recording of 10 minutes (+3 minutes padding) and ended up with a file of 12:55. Not too bad, but when I recorded an hour-long program, I ended up with 22:30. Again the file plays fine but I can't FF after the counter reaches 22:30. I wiped the old drivers using HWCLEAN.EXE and followed the instructions on SHSForum for the upgrade.

Any other ideas?

My System:
AMD 1800+
512 mb ram
PVR-150
Xcard
GB-PVR v0.94.13
