Dear Sir.

I am now getting another big problem after the change of my PC as mentioned in my earlier thread.

Most of the recordings that I am doing are being faulty with stream errors. Around 2 hours of recording are showing up as only 10 or 20 minutes in the time bar. Also the cursor gets stuck or jumps midway which is also evidence of stream errors.

I am using Windows XP and using the same Hauppauge cards since the last 2 years with no prb.

Please help.
Kind Regards.

What type of card did you use for doing the recordings?

I am using 03 Hauppauge PVR-150MCE analogue cards.

Although I am not sure, but it may be that sometimes during a recording, I open the mpeg file just to verify that the recording is going OK and for those files, this error appears? I am not sure and this doesnt happen always...

Thanks for the help.
Regards.

It sounds like the PVR150 timestamp bug: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ew-drivers.

Dear sub.

Am gratefulm for your advice.

Could you please guide me as below :

1) A few days back when I changed my PC and installed fresh windows xp, I went to Hauppauge's website and downloaded the drivers for this card. The drivers link you provided is dated 2006, and at that time, these were prerelease drivers. So, should I replace mine with the above?

2) The download link in the link page you mentioned is somehow not working for me. Could you please check?

Thanks and regards.

If that file is still the recommended one, I still have a copy floating around if you want to PM me an email address that can accept a 2mb attachment.

Hi Martin.
Thanks for the help.
Sent you my email in PM for the drivers file.

Meanwhile, I await sub's advice to know if it is still the recommended file.
Thanks and regards.

From memory, you can use a current driver, but still need to create those registry settings.

Hi.

I am attaching a screenshot of my RegEdit screen. Can you pls guide me where to add the settings?

After installing the drivers, you'll need to add the following registry settings:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\hcwPP2\DriverData
"HcwTimeStampIssue1"=dword:00000001
"HcwTimeStampIssue2"=dword:00000000

Thanks.
