MVP drops connection when I click either stop or back/exit in the middle of watching a recording. This also happens when I press either button to go back to main menu. The MVP then tries to connect to servers, but it won't. The only way I recover is restarting the recording service. This happens when I use the Video Archive plugin only. It sometimes disconnects with XRecord but it recovers. Has anybody encountered this problem with the Video Archive plugin.

As reference, am using Video Archive to watch only DVDs I converted with DVD2MPEG (I like the way it looks), also this is the latest version of Video Archive, GBPVR 93.13, latest Media DX skin.

Next time it happens, can you zip up the log files in your Jeff directory, your gbpvr.exe.log file and your config.xml file and post them to this thread. I can take a look and see if I can figure out what is going on.

This happens to me quite often too, and that on regular recordings from my PVR-350's. I actually thought I had a local problem here.

Jeff: Do you need ALL of the logfiles? The Jeff-dir alone is 43MB

Was trying to recreate it today, but everything seems to be working fine. The only change I made was install the latest XMedia DX skin. Maybe it was a skin problem rather than the plugin. If ever this occurs again, I will send the files to this post.

I'm running the default skin, so it's not the solution in my setup.

This happens to me all the time, too. In order to "stop" a recording, I just press the Menu button instead. Otherwise, I get the black screen and then eventually the MVP starts searching for a connection again.

GBPVR system info intentionally left blank because I'm personally
insulted that you can't remember it from previous signatures.

I was checking my gbpvr.exe.log and I found this:

I was not even tinkering with Video Archive, was tinkering with something else. Would this have anything to do with it?

This is a bug (that I do not remember exactly what it is) that has a workaround (that I have forgotten) that I have, however, fixed in the next version. If you send me a private message with your email I can send you the update. Note that one of the skin files (the one related to editing oending recodings has changed); as long as you use the blue skin (or don't use that function) it should work with other skins. I also have an updated bluemce2 skin for it. I am working on adding some more funcitons to the editing of pending recoordings so I won't have a public release for a few more weeks.
