I finally got this working.
There must be something wrong with the Logitech database for MVP, as I tried everything to get it to work with no luck. Hours and hours of adding, configuring, deleting, updating, every device in the remote's configuration nothing worked as it should.
What finally worked was rather than specify the device as an MVP, was to say that I had a Hauppauge PVR-150 card (they use the same remote) as my PVR. Once I did that, everything fell into place and the remote works like a dream.
Next time I'm in updating the MVP info on the Wiki, I'll add this tidbit. Thanks all for your replies.
