Any recommendations on a inexpensive wireless mouse and keyboard? Something with good range 10 - 15'?

The computer is in the garage but I have USB running into the entertainment center.

I use the http://www.byopvr.com/Sections+index-req...age-1.html I've had to glue some of the rubber feet back on but other than that its been fine. I tested at work upto 20 ft away through a stud wall and it worked fine. It cost me £20 on ebay so approx $30-35 in the USA that you seem to be.

I have the same as herbs - it works very well with a good range. I use it at about 15 feet with no problems.

No offense to Buckeye but looking at that link...

It's really beginning to pee me off that keyboard manufacturers now only make keyboards with the Insert, Delete, Home, End, Page Up, Page Down keys in 2 columns of 3 keys instead of 3 columns of 2 keys. I 'partially' touch-type and use those keys regularly. With the new 2 column layout I Delete instead of going to the End of line.

What's the point? Just to save an inch or two of desk space. Just because people want everything to be really teeny these days. Just because most people use only one finger to type and stare intentently at the keyboard while they're doing it. Wake up people and get a bigger desk. Smile

[RANT MODE OFF]

Seriously - I have the MX 500 Desktop version (the MX 700 mouse that came with it is awesome). If Logitech still made the original set I'd buy two more regardless of the price (in case you're wondering, I DO need two new keyboard/mouse setups, I'm not just a hoarder). Smile

I've changed the batteries in the keyboard once in 3 years. The original rechargeble batteries in the mouse are struggling to hold a charge these days so I put two new ones in and it's back to needing a recharge only about once every two weeks.

I'd certainly recommend Logitech (shame about the new key layout though).

Cheers,
Brian
