As you may know by now I am a big fan of xrecord and use it all the time. I am a bit apprehensive about CDKScheduler and so dont use it but I use all other functionality. Perhaps an idiots guide to it may help me and others.

Anyway, I've had this particular problem for a while but only now got around to investigating it a bit more. The XRecord conflict screen regularly goes strange. Sometimes there are gaps at the top and conflicts are listed lower down, sometimes it does the attached 3 pictures. On the third you can see the edge of the white highlighted box on the right of the picture.

My question is, how is the conflict page supposed to work. I move the cursor left/right and the highlight moves by column. I have to press back/exit to go back to the menu where as on other screens I press left. Should I be able to resolve conflicts on this screen or perhaps set a preference of what I want recording i.e. make the red into green and vice versa.

Any help I can give to sort this out I will

you should be able to resolve conflicts. The fact that the shows are appearing twice is odd.

I wonder how many shows you have at that timeslot.

When you move the cursor left and right it should select the show. Possibily 3 shows could conflict so you would see 2 shows pushing right again would go to the third. You cant put preferences in. But that is an interesting idea (cdk handles it though).
The item in blue is selected so you can cancel it if you want. I will look at the code and try to find out why it is duplicating.

I have had the same problem - probably because of reoccuring schedules ending up the same timeslot.

I guess it could end up with 3 to 4 scheduled at the same time and it is then hard to see which ones they are and also to cancel the most right one

Apologies jorm but I have been away for work unexpectedly.

So is only one thing supposed to be highlighted at once as I get the attached. The only key press between the first and second is cursor right. If I press OK it "edits" the bottom most conflict in the list.

Hi Jorm

I've downloaded the XRecord code from the sourceforge site and made some updates to the ConflictBox.cs file, I hope you don't mind and please feel free to alter what I've done, it's attached in the zip file. I have not altered any other file so it should fit right in.

I have been testing this over the past few days and used it successfully to resolve my conflicts. Today I had three conflicting programmes (3 scheduled programmes that overlapped in time) so I took the opportunity to include support for multiple conflicting shows at the same time.

I hope you incorporate it into your build.

BTW how's the job hunting going?
