Not a GB prob, but becarfule

Just started a defrag. Went for 5 mins and an error came up. Restarted and disc corrupted! 60GB of films and regordings gone. Brand new Samsung 200 GB disk. :mad: Windows reports the disk a RAW 0 bytes.

Strange thing, If I try and start GCPVR It does a short intall, (gatering information etc) I have seprate disc for media and system.

I am sure, that THIS has nothing to do with GB-PVR or Windows!

In the last weeks and months died very much Samsung HDD's. The choose of your Harddrive schouldn't be only the $$$-Aspect. If you need quality, take a Seagate HDD. Even a 20 MByte MFM-Modell is running well by me! Seagate=Quality, Samsung=cheap junk.

To say true: A few weeks ago my HTPC was filled with a Samsung HDD too. Many people told me "Samsung P80 is fast, is quite is low temp, is soooo good"
Yeah, nice story. After two weeks the HDD from Samsung made a really loud noise while operating. I replaced this piece of junk against two Seagate Barracuda 7200.8 250 GB @ RAID-0 and are now very happy.
