hi all, Ive checked the old posts so i dont think this has been asked.

I have lots of films either in 4:3 or 16:9.

4:3 play fine, however when playing 16:9 and aspect ratio is all wrong. Also changing it in the config program does not work either.

Im using a 4:3 tele. I also use a MVP and well - same problem there.

Any ideas

this has been mentioned before. the problem is, like i understood it, that the osd will appear in the movie and not at the bottom on the black lines. but i think we can live with a centered osd for the moment :-)

Sorry I may not explained myself correctly. Nothing to do with OSD.
The film itself.

I have a number of divx movies - This is to play as i know only on my PC but the aspect ratio is all wrong.

If i play them in a divX player all is well and correct.

Hi cidc. Yes, aspect ratio control is on the list of things I'll be looking at.

I tried to introduce this functionality in previous release, but encountered a few problems which caused the OSD to appear half off the screen (which is what dottore is referring to). The movie was in the right place, but I didn't find time to correct the OSD before the release so I just disabled it.
