Hi all,

I've just rebuilt the gbpvr machine after it started producing 0kb recordings consistently. Before this it was up and running fine(on 95.14) but one night just stopped for no real reason.....anyhow, I decided to have a clear out so did a clean install of xp sp2.

GBPVR(95.16) now reinstalled, 2x nova-t's, latest cyberlink 5.0.1307 mux.I've used the latest hauppauge drivers(21).WinTV2000 not installed

I'm using xmltv for my epg data, i've set up my capture sources in config, however, when i click "map digital channels to epg" it runs the scan and now finds no channels. The first time i ran it it found a few channels and some with corrupted names but now finds nothing. It indicates strength as 0, although reading the config logs it seems to have other values for strength.

I know the aerial is good, my STB picks up a flawless signal on all channels.

Can anyone offer any advice?....My Wife Approval Factor is through the floor at the moment!!!

I've attatched the config and the config-native logs for your perusal...

Cheers

Try editting config.xml and setting <BDAUsePsiParser>false</BDAUsePsiParser>

Thats fixed it to a degree.....I've now got a full set of channels on one capture source but only a few on the other. When you run the scan, it skips over "scanning 2 of 6, 3 of 6 and 5 of 6".....the rest it scans with good strength and quality.

It did take a few scans on the first one to get it to scan all the channels but they are all there and working now.

Any more great tips???

<BDAUsePsiParser>.....I remember you saying that this was an important part of the 95.xx releases, is it a problem caused by my setup? or a GBPVR issue?

Cheers

To be honest, I'm not sure. A few people have had problems, but most people seem to be ok.

hmmmmm...

so any ideas on the lack of channels on the second tuner?

both cards are fed from the same aerial amplifier, I can't see any reason that they shouldn't be recieving the same channels....

any input appreciated

Swap the connections from the aerial amplifier? You might have a dodgy coax cable.

Just an update, I tried a recording on a channel which both cards had detected, it resulted in a 0kb recording as it chose the first card "Nova1", I have now deleted the capture source and retried recording the same show and it works fine, so it seems that it may either be that card has a problem or its input.

I'll have to try swapping my aerial amplifier and cables totally I think......

Cheers
