hi all!

im so happy since know almost everything seems to work (after a very hard week of configs!). now a new problem i have. i have managed to use tvxb and output a xmltv file. problem is that when i try to update the epg with gb pvr it takes a long long time (its been runing for 40 minutes and still it seems stuck). i cancelled it before and used a short version of the xmltv (only 4 entries) and it worked fine. what can be the problem. is there a limit on channles (i only have like 30). i dont understand why it gets stuck, all the channels are congifured the same way in the ini file. very strange. id love to hear any suggestions

Best wishes

Email a sample file over to me at support@devnz.com and I'll try it.

If the file contains channel icon URLs, and those arnt accessible at the specified location, then it could be timing out retrieving each of these.

Your file successfully imports for me within about 20 - 30 seconds.

I can only guess its something to do with firewall not letting GB-PVR retrieve the channel icons listed in the xmltv file. To test this, you could delete the <icon> tags from the xmltv file.

hi and thx again!

do you know if there a specific port i can open in the firewall so it can work (i guess its the gbpvr that needs to be opned?). i did try deleting the lines where it said icon-source) but now there is just a quick flash when i update the epg and there is no update. thx alot, you really really helped!

I've already deleted the file, so I cant check, but they're almost certainly just standard files on a webserver somewhere, so just port 80.

thx once again

unfortunantly im still a bit stuck. i opend port 80 in my firewall but it didnt really work... (i have a linux based firewall a friend installed, i cant shut it off completly). i also tried to delete every line that had the icon line but gb pvr didnt work as well (it just flashed) and no channels were added to the epg. any other ideas i can try? thx alot again, this is truly an awesome site and product!!

Click the 'update EPG' button. Wait a few minutes, then zip and attach your config.exe.log file.

I had the same Problem and the Firewall did not cause it.

According to my logfile the direcotry gbpvr\media\ChannelLogos\
was missing. After creating it manually, everything worked fine
