Homeplug 85Mbps Devices & MVP

Are these backwards-compatible with the older (10 Mbps?) homeplug devices? I've got my printer working on two of those and I'd rather not get 3 54 devices if it's not necessary.
XP Pro SP2 on P4 3.0, 2 gb RAM
30 gb OS drive, 750 gb storage HVR 1600, PVR2 USB2, MVP

Final update from me on using the 85Mbps Homeplug devices with an MVP. Have now had these running for a few days. No stutters, no dropped frames, no re-connecting to server. In other words... working flawlessly. More than I can say for my previous 54Mbps wireless attempts.
