I just got comskip and transcoding to xvid working correctly.
I have about 50 recordings that I would like to run comskip to flag the commericals and then transcode to xvid.
Is that possible?

There is no built in stuff to do it after the fact, but you can always manually run both comskip and your favourity xvid encoder.

You can of couse set it to do this automatically for new recordings.

If I do it that way, Will I still have the database information with it?
and this post refers to waiting till gbconvert runs, It seems to me they both do the same thing. If I use memcoder wouldnt I just turn off gbcorvert in the processing tab?

Yes you will still have the database info if you're using the newest GBPVR.

gbconvert won't convert old recordings, not automatically anyways and I don't think it can cut out the commercials like mencoder can. (Have comskip create an edl file.)
