I did another try with the following dvdburn.bat file - and it worked. The change ? Well I took the spaces out of the title....in GBPVR.

del "C:\Documents and Settings\Phil\My Documents\My Videos\TV recordings\temp dvd\temp*.*.mpg"
"C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\nerocmd.exe" --write --real --iso "%2" --no_user_interaction --drivename E --underrun_prot --create_iso_fs --create_udf_fs --iso-no-joliet --dvdvideo_realloc --dvdvideo_cmpt --dvd --dvd_high_compatibility --recursive %1\* --detect_non_empty_cdrw --force_erase_cdrw

see log.....

nothing changed from last time - but doesn't seem to like the Mpeg - converted from DVR-MS file.....and then edited together......(all recordings from now on in MPEG so hopefully will work ok).

Pauses put in convert.bat file

Have your converted DVR-MS files worked before?
Can you manually demux those files with PVA GUI?
I so can you remux them with mplex to get a valid MPEG that will play in a media player? look here for a guide: http://dvdauthor.sourceforge.net/doc/exa...l#EX-TOOLS
If all that works fine then you know its an issue with the MyDVD process, otherwise its an issue with DVR-MS files and your best off finding a more specific forum on google.

I started down the road to setting up for burning DVDs and it was just too complicated. I discovered this thread today and decided I was right... ;-) Maybe it will be integrated natively into GBPVR one day. Until then, I guess I'll just look for some other way to do it.

(I appreciate the effort some have gone to in sharing their work, but I just found my desire to burn DVDs was not as great as I thought... ;-)

the next version hopefully wont require the user to edit any .bat files etc, going to try and shove everything into an installer.

I did some tests over the weekend.....

I now record in MPEG - so I tested burning with these files - just little 20 min files....the MYDVD wasn't happy - as errors posted above.

I then downloaded some DVD authoring software on trial for 30 days.....it didn't like the MPEG files that GBPVR had created - said the bit-rate was too high for general DVD players - and they seemed to be using up much more space disk-wise, than comparible files. The DVD's this software burnt were out of synch!

If I then use my Video editing software to burn the MPEGS - (ULEAD Video studio) the files it creates after rendering are far too big to go onto a standard DVD....despite the fact that they were much smaller 'before' edit.

I'll wait for the new upgrade of MYDVD (any idea on timescale?) otherwise, I might look at a commercial version - as it's really just not doing what I want it to - despite MANY man hours trying to sort it.

The TV Guide and the GBPVR in general work fine.....so it would be a shame to have to use some other softftware.
