like it never ran.

I am currently experimenting with running it after the recording finishes.
I have a script that checks the file extension and waits to run comskip until postprocessing.

Comskip may fail on certain weird digital broadcasts.
Try to drag and drop the recorded file on comskipGUI.exe and see what happens.
If comskipGUI exits immidiately then comskip can not decode the file format.
Please upload a small recording to my ftp site.

my comskip works fine on my analog recordings but the digital ones are out
its like it finds the adds but they are out of time as in the length is right but its 3 minutes late with the timeline
is it cause of dropped frames with the digital recording making the time line wrong?

That is possible
Did you experiment with a different setting of max_repair_size?
try setting it to 0 or 200

I'm experiencing a similar problem. Comskip will run and will see comercials, but the comskip gui won't display anything when I go to review them. It's just a blank screen after I hit 'G.' I thought maybe it was the dvr-ms extensionm it wasn't liking so, I converted it with ffmpeg to a mpg. I re-ran comskip, but it still won't display the picture. I thought maybe because it was a HD file that it had too much information and was just taking forever to load, so I droped the resolution down to 720X480. No change.... Comskip is picking up commercials, but I cannot review them so that I can cut and convert them. I would like to convert them ultimately to divx, so it would be preferable to run comskip on the mpg so that I can use comcut and ffmpeg to finish the job. Oh yeah, I have reviewed the movie files and they play perfectly fine as well- so that's not the problem.

Thoughts anyone?

I'm finding that comskip crashes on certain DVR-MS recordings. Sometimes an episode will process... other times a different episode will crash.

Comskip can not preview DVR-MS files at the moment
If you find a file that causes comskip to crash I like to receive that file.
