I'm unable to configure the PVR150 IR Blaster to work correctly with GBPVR. When changing channels the IR Blaster will send the correct code to the cable box but it also changes the channel on the PVR150, thus changing the source input. How do I set the source input to channel 3 or(Svideo/Composite).

Thanks,
sub

In the capture source settings, make sure your selected "fixed channel, external tuner" instead of "internal tuner".

Why not try looking at the UK Hauppguage support page and see what equipment they support.

No it does not, although they have support stated in the list it does not work. See this thread:

I've had a couple of emails from them about this - not admitting it doesn't work but "passing it on to tech" or somesuch.

I'm currently stepping through Sub's haupblast.exe and it's calls to hcwirblast.dll to try to find out what it is doing wrong but I'm getting bogged down in the code. There is only one little thing wrong with it but enough to stop it working.

Attached jpegs show whats going wrong for me. (captured from IR detector in an old DVD drive connected to parallel port).

HaupBlast effectively just calls a method in hcwirblast.dll that says something along the lines of GotoChannel(x). hcwirblast.dll then uses the currently configured BlastCfg settings to send the appropriate signals. I dont really have any control over the timing or actual IR transmission. In theory I'm able to modify the same higher level settings as you can in the BlastCfg app (minimum digits, inter-digit delay etc), but I dont for simplicity sake, and you already are able to do this outside GB-PVR.

Those are graphs are a pretty impressive piece of detective work though!

I'm convinced it is the code tables within hwcirblast.dll that are wrong. I'm slowly getting to the area where it gets a 63 (or 64?) byte length of data form it's huge code table, sends it to the card and says 'go'. Then it's down to guesswork and trying to see whata difference each bit makes. {sigh}.

Just an update:-
There is a beta IR blaster software version on the UK site that seesm to be working with Sky boxes. Page 4 I think. Thanks to Chris Day for seemingly finding it.
