Hi sub.

Apart from getting into the database directly. Is there any way of determining the playback position of a video via API- although all I'm really after is have I watched the video.

Cheers.

No, there is no API for getting this information.

back on this.

The playback position table. Are those records only those programs that have started but not finished?? i.e. when you have finished a recording (watched it completely) it is removed from that table?

And a new recording will not make it's way to the playback_position table until you start watching it??

So if i wanted to determine that a program had not been watched at all, I could conclude that it not being in the playback_position table means it has never been watched?

I'd just like to save me having to write a whole tracking system for a new recording viewing plugin.

I cant remember. I think so.

It wont make it into the table until you stop it during playback.

No, as I said above, I think completely watched programs are removed. If the user chooses to 'restart' the record is also deleted from the table.

I see a bunch of positon records in my PLAYBACK_POSITION table that are for files I deleted (manually, using Windows file explorer) long ago. Is there anyway to remove them from within GBPVR?

I think I found that as well, also depends of which video plugin you use for playback, recordings playback.

I think you could go to sub's recording module (the default one) and delete each item there, when you select them to play, they don't show up.

These questions I orignally asked were for a quick plugin I was writing to re-view the recordings, and in that I made it check if files existed, and if not, highlight them in red. I also put an option to go an delete all of the old records where there were no files.
