Hi all:

I got my GBPVR box working last night. I still have a performance problem on playback of recordings, but my biggest problem is lack of sound.

I'm using an M10000 motherboard with 512M RAM, Windows XP SP1, Plextor PX-M402U via USB2, Intervideo WinDVD Creator 2.

My playback settings are:
Video Decoder - InterVideo Video Decoder
Audio Decoder - InterVideo Audio Decoder
Audio Renderer - Vinyl AC'97 Audio (WAVE)

VMR7

Anyone else run into this and know a solution?

I still have exactly the same situation, after each reboot no sound
I use a Hauppauge PVR150MCE.
I get sound after running tuningassistant, and then the sound stays untill I reboot again.
I upgraded to the latest GBPVR, no change.

I heard a rumour about the locale being different from the language/country causing problems in the Hauppauge driver?????

My capture card doesn't use a tuner so that program doesn't work for me. Good idea though.

Posted this elsewere in the forum:

Had the same problem. Seems that GBPVR doesn't initialise the audio on the PVR150.
I added a batch file to my startup folder containing these 2 lines:

C:\PROGRA~1\WinTV\WinTV2K.EXE -c41 -nss -nc -ntod -startr -limit:1 -exitr -mute
del c:\MYVIDEOS\ /Q
It turns on wintv2k, records 1 second and quits after the recording, the second line deletes the contents of the recording folder for the hauppauge recordings (make shure it's not hte same folder as your gbpvr recordings folder!)

Hope this helps, Hanno
