The current options presented are the ones that make sense. Recordings from the TV Guide relate to programmes, and programmes are not necessarily at the same time each day or week or in the weekends. I agree there could be some types of season recordings, but they're not the same option as the manual recordings.

- So it seems I have to understand first how the current options in TVGuide work. Does the scheduler (or whatever) look for the names of the programs in the EPG data and 'realizes' for instance that the program is only running from Mo-Fr (at different times?) and not on weekends?

If so, what would happen if I'm on vacation for 4 weeks and the EPG data ends after 2 weeks (I update manually)

- Beside this it would be great if the manual recording option gets repaired so I can decide to let GBPVR record at a specific day, on a specific time until 2010

I suppose this also implies that if whomever writes the program info for the EPG misspells the show name one day, it won't get recorded? :-)

Just a thought, something I had wondered about in the past. It fits in here to some extent. Would it be easy to add the option of entering wildcards to the show-names? In Germany Voyager is listed with adding the serial-number to the title. (Voyager part 1, voyager part 2 etc.) - so gbpvr doesn't put it in the same directory and doesn't recognize it as the same show. Would be nice if I could define Voyager*.
