Does GB-PVR support multiple cards in a sensible and easy to use way? In other words - will it simply split recording "conflicts" between cards without user intervention?

I couldn't find a clear note on this in the docs.

Currently using and Hauppauge 150, and could certainly grab a second...

Yes. once the second card is configured it's all handled completely transparently, if there's a conflict it will automatically use the next available tuner without any user intervention. Just like Magic Smile

Too frickin' cool. Why is it that this software is infinitely better than the "commercial" stuff that came from ATI (horrible) or Hauppauge (better, but not great)?

I will definitely be donating.

// Avid user of open-source software for the same reason. Couldn't use Linux for this particular project though.

I just installed another pvr-150. I have the first card connected to cable, the second card is connected to a SAT. I noticed that GBPVR will automatically choose a card to record from. Is there a way that I can manually choose which card to record which show on? Also which card to watch live TV from?

Thanks,

Rob

No there isnt.

It'll favour the top of the capture source list for recordings, and the bottom of the list for live tv, so you can use this knowledge to setup your general preference.

Thanks,
Rob[/QUOTE]

I do someting wrong i think
I have set up de channels to the first tv tuner and give de channels another name (kanaal 2 pvr 150)
On the set up of de second tuner ,i give the channel also another name (kanaal 2pvr 350)But ,this is the same channel. This for al the channels. So i can choose in the recordings wath tv tuner must record wisch channel.
On the channel tab in configger,i give the channels the number i want.
Is this a good way or not ?I can choose the tuner for recording but i dont now wat the good procedure is.
sorry for the bad englisch

My question would be, why do you care which tuner it records onto? If both are capable of receiving the same broadcasts then I don't see that there's a need to choose the tuner.

The way that I have manually chosen the tuner when conflicts that aren't really conflicts have occurred is to go into the database and set the tuner that will be used.

No need to apologise for your English, it will always be better than my attempt at anyone else's language. Smile

David.
