I probably missed this, so if it exists, could someone please point me to the documentation on the functions of the buttons on the MVP remote control with GB-PVR?

In particular, wondering if some of the features from the stock software were implemented the same. Fast-forward/rewind don't seem to work right for me with GB-PVR. Also, the stock software uses the number buttons to jump through lists or through a playing video, 1 = 10% jump, 2 = 20% jump, etc. I haven't had any luck with these either.

Thanks,
-Brad

You cant jump to a percentage of a video. Thats just some freaky feature that Hauppauge came up with that I have no interest in copying. You can (for example) press 10-Skip to jump forward 10 minutes.

Most lists you can press the skip and replay buttons jump a page at a time.

I was wondering the same thing about the remote - I recently discovered that hitting the blue button during playback brings up the epg data for the program that you are watching.

Is it possible to view the whole epg and move about the channels while watching something?

I also noticed that 2 of the colour buttons let you skip up and down a whole page in the recordings menu.

Are there any more useful ones?

You may want to read a lot of the stuff in the "manual" section on the WIKI. It covers the keyboard entries and Haupauge remote functions. Some is for the PC interface, but a lot is for the MVP as well. The WIKI is full of great stuff. Hunt around, you will be happy you did.

thanks for the tip

Just one further question if I may...

I now know that the green button on the remote brings up the mini-guide.

One of the screenshots on GBPVR.com shows the mini guide displaying channel no. programme title and start time - end time.

When I hit the green button all i get is the programme description - same as when I hit the blue button but without the progress bar.

I wonder if i'd need to install a plugin or something to get this other version of the miniguide. Can anyone tell me how I can get this?

Cheers

I'm not sure exactly which guide your after.

Ctrl-G (green), will bring up the mini-guide, which allows you to go/down through the channels to see what is on, before hitting 'ok' to change channels

'F1' brings up the small version of the normal TV guide.

I think canonbeck is referring to the miniguide. For a number of versions, the miniguide has not included information such as channnel name, show start time and end time. I think it is just a skinning issue - it has not been included in the default skin.
