Yes, any TV programs recorded with the PVR350 would be recorded as MPEG2 and would play back fine.

Most DVDs contain 5.1 audio tracks which cant be played by the PVR350 hardware. With the right ripping software you can often produce a MPEG that is compatible with the PVR350.
