Just a quick little command line tool for updating the GBPVR database with a modified filename.

For those of you who encode to a format that isn't avi, and are having to rename their converted recordings so that GBPVR sill finds the files, and for those of you who rename their recordings to have the episode name etc.

Simply put the exe file into the gbpvr main directory (the one with the gbpvr.mdb database in) and add to the postprocessing/postconversion batch file.

Usage: UpdateDB original_filename new_filename

Sorry to be dumb about this, but I don't understand how this might work. If you use the rename recordings doesn't it automaticly update the data base? And if you use the auto converstion that can be set to update the database as well. How can this be use in the postprocessing/postconversion batch files? The usage example above would require knowing the previous and new names. How can you get the new name automaticly?

Or did I miss something? Is it actaully supposed to be used as a command line fix?

I think the idea is that if you transcode from one format to another, you can update the database. Say going from .mpg to .mp4. Since you run the transcode in your postprocessing, you would know what file you started with and what you ended with.
