Hmmm, I am getting to grips with this feature, but...

How is this supposed to work? When I hit "pause" the screen goes blank, the recording starts, and I see the TV in real time. Is this working as intended? I would have thought that the tv would have kept the screen paused, whilst recording happens in the background.

Thoughts?

this is normal behavour - at least on my system.

pressing 'pause' doesnt initiate a 'pause', it starts timeshift mode, and carries on playing at the same time as recording in background. Once in timeshift mode you can then press 'pause' again to actually pause.

Thanks. Guess that makes sense, although I would personally prefer the TV to "Pause" when the pause button is pushed....

It would certainly make things more "wife friendly"

If you disable live preview mode, then it'll always be in timeshift mode, and will behave more like you suggest. This will mean slower channel changing though.

Thanks Sub!

I'll give that a go and evaluate. But won't that meant that I'll run out of space on my HDD eventually?

Cheers

No, it'll automatically delete files as it goes.
