I just reinstalled the drivers for my 350 and nova-t usb2 as I am still having loads of problems getting the nova to work correctly when coming out of standby.
I used to have a custom bleb-channels.xml with the station names customised to BBC ONE instead of BBC 1 and ITV1 instead of "ITV 1" in order to make the dvb channel names match my existing 350 channel names.
96.8 installed a new bleb-channels file,, so when I re-added devices in the config and updated the EPG, the new channel names were not the same as the old ones. Now I had BBC 1 instead of BBC ONE. I couldn't be arsed to re-do them all by hand or re-create the bleb xml files so I though I would see how I got on when i fired up gbpvr, although I did suspect that something might go amis....
What I found was that the menus were VERY unresponsive. If I selected a recording, I would wait over 30 secs for the action menu to appear. Curiously, pressing an up/down key during the delay would force an immediate response.
I suspected that gbpvr was confused about why it had recordings with channels names that didn;t match up to the existing list.
Solution:
1. export recordings
2. perform a find/replace in xml file to replace old channel names with new ones.
3. rename recordings folder
4. start gbpvr
5. gbpvr failes to find recordings and so deletes them from the database.
6/ run config and save in order to compact database (just in case)
7. rename recording folder back to what it was before <-- important!
8. import recordings from updated xml file.
response of menus returned to normal.
I just thought that I would share this with you in case any of you are suffering from slow menu responses and the scenerio that I describe above might ring a bell for you.
ciao
